Preface

 
Hello everyone and welcome to my achievement guide for NieR Replicant. This guide will show all the achievements you can get in the game and how to get them. Be aware that this isnt a spoiler free guide and make sure you do certain achievements before you go ahead and finish Ending D and E cause those will erase your save files. When you spot any mistakes please comment down below so I can correct them 
 
I hope this guide will be helpful for you and good luck! 
 
 

Before you start

 
Just a heads up that with some endings the game deletes your save files, just like in NieR Automata. This will happen at Ending D and E. 
 
I suggest when you are working on Ending C and are at the last save point before the shadow castle, make 2 save points. 1 save point for Ending C and then another one where you can do Ending D on. (cause it just a choice at the end that differs what ending you do). 
 
For Ending E the only advice I give is to make sure that you do the Daredevil achievement before you finish the Ending, you can do this the moment you gain control over Kaine’s body. After completing Ending E, the save file for Ending E will disappear and the save file for Ending D will reappear. 
 
On a final note to get access to Ending C,D and E you need to have found all the weapons in the game, Grimour Weiss has a tab that keeps track on how many you got and they should be all listed in the weapon collection achievement aswel if you feel you’ve missed something.

*note that when finishing this Ending the save file will delete itself, make sure you also get the ”Daredevil” achievement before you do.

Material Hunter

 
 
 
Collect 50 different types of raw materials 
 
You dont have to worry on this one to much, just go around and collect the shining lights whenever you are busy doing a side quest or a main quest. 
 

Wordsmith

 
 
 
Collect 50% of all words 
 
For this one you also dont have to worry too much, I aquired the amount of words needed just before I got the last key part for the shadowlord castle key. For me it unlocked when I got 51% of the words unlocked. At the point of writing this I have around 70% aquired and I have done almost all endings now

Dear Diary

 
 
 
Technically not a collection but you need to do this in order to get all the weapons you need for the weapon collection, After you have done Ending A, go to the lower lvl of your house and check the highlighted items. One item NieR will say thats its his mothers diary. You will get sucked into this world where you will be shown as Father NieR. In here you have to do clear 3 doors which are basicly mini dungeons, not too hard content but beware that you cannot save within the dungeon and will have to do the entire door again if you die somewhere within it. Every door will give you a weapon: Fool’s Embrace, Fool’s Lament, Fool’s Accords. 
 
 

Collection Achievements 2

 

Upgrade Apprentice

 
 
 
You upgraded 5 weapons to their maximum level

You upgraded 15 weapons to their maximum level 
 

Forging Master

 
 
 
You upgraded 33 weapons to their maximum level 
 
These 3 achievements are a bit of a grind to get, the maximum level for all the weapons is level 4 and you can upgrade weapons at the 2 brother weaponry at the Junk Heap.

Be mindful of the following materials as they are harder to get: 

• Eagle Egg – can only be found at the yellow/orange harvest spot below the chief house in the Aerie 
• Memory Alloy – some of the bigger robots have these at the junk heap, but its a rare drop 
• Forlong Neckalng and Broken Earpiece – at the top of the Lost Shrine further down the story gotten from the human like magic casters 
• Metal Piercing and subdued bracelet – dropped by the flying shades in the desert after the desert chapter in Act 2 
• Damascus Steel found in the Junk Heap 
• Dented Metal Bat – can be farmed in the hidden laboratory B2 from the smaller shades 
• Broken Wristwatch and Rusted Kitchen Knife – Can be farmed in Southern Road close to Seafront or at the Fortune Teller after you have completed her Magic Stone sidequest in Forest of the Myst

 

A round by the Pond

 
 
 
Catch every type of Fish 
 
You will get a lot of the fishes already if you complete the Fisherman’s Gambit Questline, given by the same person that gives you the fishreel and lure so you are able to get a shaman fish for Yonah 
Another note is that you have to fish these you cant bypa*s this by buying the fish in the fish store.

Caught a Rhizodont, also part of the fishing colleciton. As the table says you can find it in the desert next to the Ferry using some Sardines as bait

You can easily get this achievement at the Goose bossbattle within the Shadowlord Castle, just know that Magic doesnt count towards this achievement. 
 
For the next achievements you dont need to worry if you didnt get them first try, you will face these monsters via the other endings aswel and you can always if you still struggle on those endings make sure you save before the fight and reload the save if needed. 
 
Some General Tips for these fights: 

• Save before a boss fight, so you can always reload and try out other tactics if you feel like it 
• Skip Cutscenes, they still count towards the timer and sometimes can let you fail on a faultless run 
• Make sure you are using words to increase attack, magic power and reduce magic use 
• Have some Magic and Attack capsules ready, they arent necessary for most bosses but come in handy when you are struggling 
• Dont feel rushed you can retry these bosses at Route B, C for Berzerk Kaine only Route C and D

 

King of the Lost Shrine

 
 
 
You Defeated Gretel within three minutes and twenty seconds 
 
For the Gretel fight make sure to melee him a lot, when he puts op his shield the shades will spawn, you can easily defeat these shades if you go stand in the light. When the shades are defeat Gretel will remove his shield. Further in the fight Gretel will start spinning what you can do it use your magic to catch him out of breath for you to melee him again. Now you only have to break 2 seals to end the fight. Remember to skip the cutscene in between them 
 

A True Friend

 
 
 
You stopped the berserk Kaine within one minute 
 
This fight is instantly after the Gretel fight, spam darkblast on Kaine, get close to her and attack her to stun her to the ground. I found using Dark Hand for the melee attack on her working effectively. When you manage to hit her on melee range she falls from the pillars and will be stunned revealing the seal you need to breake to complete the fight. 
 

Boss of the Junk Heap

 
 
 
You defeated P-33 within four and a half minutes 
 
This boss you will face in Act 2 of the story, switch around with the melee and magic attacks. I found that when using Dark Lance on the robot it would stagger it a bit making it unable to do its next attack. When using melee attacks make sure what foot it is using for an attack, right foot means he is going to shoot out some electricity you can easily evade but the left foot creates an electricity field around his feet on which you cant get closer. Try to stick with his right foot. 
 
The Robot will gain wings in its ”second phase” simpply melee him down when it is standing on the arena and use your magic while it is in the air. The Robot can fly into the ceiling upon debris will fall down. Look at the shadows on the ground and try to stay away from them. 
 

Scourge of the Aerie

 
 
 
You defeated Wendy within eight and a half minutes 
 
This boss has three phases, in the first phase focus between using Magic and Melee, try using Dark Lance on the eye, but beware that the tentacle looking things block your magic attacks. When he hits phase 2 around 50% off his health run right and go up the higher bridge leading up to the chief’s house. Damage it here again with magic within the eye until moves away again for phase 3. You can jump from this bridge to the lower entrance bridge just make sure you move a bit towards the ladders to make sure you dont fall down. When down at the eye again attack it with Magic aswel. 
 

The Little Mermaid

 
 
 
You defeated Louise within five minutes 
 
This boss can be a bit tough as it constantly regenerates. I recommend bringing some Magic Capsules. I have only defeated this boss within the time limit in Ending C of the story. The timer starts when you, Kaine and Emil gathered up on the top deck of the ship. On the top deck attack the 2 arms with the faces first so that the seal on them gets revealed by using melee and magic at the same time. After defeating the first face tentacles will appear all over the deck of the ship defeat them so that you can carry on with the other face. 
 
On the second phase on the beach she will shoot spikes at you or slam down on her arms try to do as much damage as possible until Kaine mentions that her weak spot is on her head. A seal will appear using a Magic Capsule to help breaking it. When you have broken her headseal, walk up her body towards the human like shape again and break a second seal to end the fight. 
 

Protector of Facade

 
 
 
You defeated Roc within three and a half minutes 
 
This fight is rather easy, first thing you should know that the first time you attack this boss within Facade it doesnt count, it counts towards the second time you encounter him within the wolf den that is usually closed. 
 
When in the wolf den the fight starts with Roc standing on a nearby rock and a few normal wolf spawning in. Defeat the normal wolves as quickly as possible so that Roc will come down and face you. When he is on the ground you can easily defeat him by using Dark Lance and some melee attacks, be aware of his charge attack and the occa*sional magic attacks it does and you should be fine. 
 

Permission Granted

 
 
 
You drove off Devola and Popola within three minutes 
 
This is the first time you fight Devola and Popola, these 2 will constantly dissappear in the ground and reappear somewhere else so make sure you lock on to one of them to see where they have spawned next. Using melee is advised here as the red power around them deflects most of your magic. When they have copied Grimour Weiss magic, target the twin with the short hair and the dark hand magic. She is weaker. You can see this at the amount of damage you do on their health bar. 
 

A Dirge for the Hero

 
 
 
You defeated Goose two minutes 
 
Goose is the big unarmoured boar that you fight after defeating all the shades in the ballroom in the shadowlords castle. Make sure you are quick to spam a lot of melee and magic attacks on him and break his seal. There really isnt much to this fight than that, just make sure you dodge his charge attacks and you should be fine. 
 

Soul Crusher

 
 
 
You defeated Devola and Popola within three and a half minutes 
 
This is the second time you fight the sisters, this time they will be attacking you 1 by 1. The first sister is the weaker one you can defeat her by switching up melee and magic. The 2nd sister is a bit more tough as she keeps spewing out magic, you can defeat her by using magica dn quick weapon attacks to get rid of her magic attacks and be able to attack her directly. 
 
 

Combat Achievement 2

 

Book Burner

 
 
 
You defeated Grimoire Noir within one and a half minutes 
 
This is in the final room of the shadow lord castle, keep meleeing the book when it put on a shield for itself to break it, after breaking it just keep on continuing to melee it. It doesnt have much health so you should get it quite easily. 
 

The Once and Final King

 
 
 
You defeated the Shadowlord within four minutes and twenty seconds 
 
This fight is divided in 2 phases, the first phase make sure to melee the boss in every opening that you get in between attacks, after breaking its first seal the shadowlord will float around doing magic attacks. You can either jump up and do a few attacks that way or keep spamming magic attacks until he lands down again. Grimoir Weiss will lose all his magic at this point. Dash towards the boss and evade the magic attacks just 1 fast attack is good enough to break his seal. Do this 3 times and you have defeaten the boss. 
 

The Strongest Bond

 
 
 
You defeated the berserk Kaine within three and a half minutes 
 
This fight will only appear when you are doing Ending C or D, which you can only do when you have gotten all the weapons in the game. This fight has 2 phases, the first phase Kaine will be in a shield and 2 magic orbs will appear casting magic attacks, Evade the magic attacks and keep attacking the shield Kaine is in. Once the shield is broken the second phase will start where you can only hurt her by using melee attacks. 
 
 

Miscellanous

 

All Aboared!

 
 
 
Ride a boar for at least 5 minutes 
 
You unlock the ability to ride boars after you have finished the quest ”Boar Hunt!” Given by a villager left of the item shop within your village 
 

The Sheep Whisperer

 
 
 
Kill 100 sheeps 
 
Go around killing some sheep everytime you get past the Northern Plains, be aware that the sheep will dissappear the moment you go to the 2nd part of the story (picking up the moss clump). In the second part of the story you can only kill more sheep if you go to the guy standing on the northplains near the walls on the right and accept his quests of killing sheep while riding a boar. I am not sure if this quest will be up if you have not done the boar quests in the first half of the game. 
 

Daredevil

 
 
 
You risked life and limb 10 times to discover someone’s secret 
 
When you play as Kaine in Ending E, look up her skirt 10 times. She will knock you out and you get a game over scene granting the achievement. 
 

Legendary Gardener

 
 
 
You succesfully cultivated the legendary flower 
 
The legendary flower that you need to cultivate is the white moon flower also known as the lunar tear. To make things a bit easier make sure you have done the florist side quests in order to get the gardenplot and the 3×15 cultivation expansion plots. These quests are called ”Shopping List” and ”A Return to Shopping’ side quest”. If you have not done this in Act 1, you can buy the garden plots and expansion plots from the florist by buying the cultivators handbook. To get the White Moon Flower you have cross breed a few MoonFlowers seeds, the 3 starting seeds can be bought from the florist in Seafront. (Blue, Gold and Red Moonflower seeds). 
 
The cultivation mechanic in NieR Replicant works with the in real life timer, meaning that to fully let the flowers wither to get the seeds you have to wait 48 hours. Or with the faster method of changing your PC timer. This works by: 
 
Plant seeds –> Save –> Change time to 48 hours later –> Load save –> Harvest –> Change back the time of your pc to present time and plant seeds –> Save and repeat 
 
You start out by making Indigo and Peach flower seeds, these are the combo’s of flowers to make the Indigo and Peach. 
 
Blue + Gold – Indigo 
Red + Gold = Peach 
 
When planting them on your garden plot this is how its gonna look like

Once you’ve gotten around 9 seeds of each crossbreed you are good to go. Lets go to the next step in cultivating the white moon flower. Now we are gonna make the pink combo and the white combo.

The white flowers are rare so the last step might take a few tries but you will get it. Ive gotten the achievement by harvesting it seeds, but you can also just harvest the flower 
 

Man of Means

 
 
 
You accumulated 1,000,000 pieces of gold 
 
The achievement unlocks the moment you have 1,000,000 gold at once, I did the long route of cultivating rice and wheat and selling them, together with fishing a lot of Royal Fish on the eastern Road. The seeds and bait needed for the cultivation and fishing dont cost a lot so you get a big profit. Do wait with upgrading all your weapons until you’ve gotten 1,000,000 gold its also a lot easier to get the buyable materials when needed for those upgrades anyways. 
 

Lightspeed Fighter

 
 
 
You completed the game within fifteen hours 
 
I advise to do this after you have completed the game once already so you know the fight mechanics and be free to skip cinematics. To get this achievement you have to start a new game and finish Ending A on it within 15 hours. I did this achievement in about 6 hours when skipping all the cinematics and doing a few sidequests to be able to buy the phoenix spear cause that is the most over powered weapon in the game. 
 
To get the phoenix spear I advise to do some easier quests in Act 1, especially the boar sidequest. Later on in Act 2 there will be a sidequest in Seafront called ”The Scattered Cargo” where an old lady asks of you to deliver 3 washed ashore packages without looking inside of them, this quest alone is very simple and gives you 20k gold of the 32,400 gold that you need for the phoenix spear.
