The game crashes or won’t load upon startup.

A1: If Nahimic or FMOD is used for audio boosting, Strix and Sonic Studio 2 are recommended.

Bonjour, these programs must be temporarily disabled during gameplay.

A1b: Use FMOD. Follow these steps:

Go to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound

It might indicate that your default sound card has been disabled. It may suggest that your default sound card is disabled. If this happens, you can re-enable it, which should fix the problem.

A2: MacOS users: If the game is stuck at “Loading”, go into:

/Users/[YOUR USERNAME]/Library/Application

Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Mystwood/Manor/Contents/MacOS/Mystwood Manor/profile

Search for and delete “settings.ini”

A3: – If Citrix is required, open Control Panel and then the Device Manager

applet. Right click on the arrow next “System Devices”, then click on “Citrix Virtual Bus Enumerator” to disable it.

Black screen/impossible to see images throughout the game/animated scene freezing

A1: This could result from a variety of factors, including but not limited to:

• Driver for an out-of-date video card
• If your GPU/video is an NVIDIA, and you experience freezing in your

  Animation scenes? Disable V-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel, under “3D Settings”.

A2: You may be missing some Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable runtime package.

Unzip the files to a temporary folder and run the (batch install_all.bat file. Then start your game.

A3: You might also consider temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software, or adding the Mystwood Manor directory to your antivirus/firewall exceptions list.
