My Friend Pedro – Stutter Problem Fix Guide!

Summary

 
Out of the box, My Friend Pedro is completely unplayable for me. I tried a few guides, running in exclusive full screen, and lowering my monitor refresh rate. Nothing worked. I thought about trying one small thing and it worked fairly well. Your mileage may vary. 
 
I am running the game on a laptop with both an integrated and a discrete GPU. Also, I have an external display. Even though Windows will default to the more powerful discrete GPU, for some reason the game runs more smoothly if you just disable the integrated GPU. 
 
 

Setting things up

 
Attention: Only do this if you know what you are doing. 
 
Go to device manager and search for display adapters. Disable the integrated one. 
 
Attention: This means that your integrated monitor (if it’s a laptop like mine) will cease working. Also if you are on battery, this uses more juice to run. 
 
 

Play the game

 
You should be done. Now you can play the game.
