Try a DNS Change if all other suggestions to improve your connectivity fail.

Foreword

Stuttering, freezing, and connection issues

Despite everything, it all seems to be in order.

  • You have a high download and upload speed.
  • Either you have a stable wireless connection that meets the highest standards, or you can use a cable to connect your computer with your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
  • You have a reliable computer that has all the resources necessary to run internet services.
  • There are few other options than moving to another location, as there might be regional ISP hardware.

Well.

Change DNS (Domain Name System), servers These are the people responsible for assigning your connections to the worldwide server servers. You might be able to switch from the default ISP 1 to another service. .

How could it be different?

Although I'm not 100% sure, I am certain that the internet in my area is sub-par. Often below third-world-standards, especially when you are living at the countryside. It is not difficult to find the same in cities.

It could be due to a poor local infrastructure. DNS servers that are provided by your ISP as default can become bad. If the ISP doesn't upgrade the infrastructure properly, but continues to make new contracts with more users, I suspect it is because of this. It's like a traffic jam with new cars constantly entering the pool, but the lanes are not adjusted for what seems like forever. The only one who can change it (the ISP), will not save money. Those who could make a difference aren't understanding the importance and value of good internet.

What are you going to do?

Try a public DNS.

Google Public DNS IP addresses

These are the Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4):

  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4

These are the Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses:

  • 2001:4860:4860::8888
  • 2001:4860:4860::8844

Either address can be used as your primary or second DNS server.

Here are some links about how to set up DNS

I won't even attempt to give you a tutorial. It varies from one setup to the next, depending on whether you change your OS, router, or any other device. There are many options, and I cannot cover them all. The providers already have clear and easy-to-understand instructions on how to do this.

Remember that the change you apply is going against the standards you have been following. It is important to understand, read and take notes, especially as it can vary from one setup to the next.

It is simple for me personally: the DNS server I need was set up by my ISP. My router connects me to the ISP. I don't have to do anything about the default setup, it will load it automatically unless I change it manually. It is easy to revert it at any time. It works with all types of hardware. It can look different for everyone. Give it a shot, but take care.

Afterword

This tip has been very helpful for Sony Playstation console users. It is worth trying for PC users.

As you can see, setups will vary depending on the hardware. It was easy for me to set it up with my router, where all my devices are connected. You can decide if you want it that way, or use an app via PC.

It is easy to reverse the DNS change and it is worth a shot if all else fails.

Best of luck and remember to keep it up!
