Welcome to (Minigolf – Basic Input Devices & Controls). Using a gamepad, keyboard, and mouse to play minigolf. You can learn the fundamental game controls from this guide.

Connecting gamepads

It is recommended to use gamepads in place of a keyboard and mouse. There are two ways to connect your gamepads.

1 Using gamepads and Steam Input

 

1.1 Turn on Steam Input

1.2 Choose the right layout for your controller

21A3050523If the game doesn’t recognize your controllers, it means that the default controller layout isn’t yet been selected. Steam will normally do this automatically, but it sometimes doesn’t. Select the default controller layout by opening the Steam Overlay Menu Shift + Tab) and clicking on Controller Configuration.

2 Using gamepads that support XInput

 

2.1 Disable Steam Input

Game Controls

Aim: Your Left Stick will always point in the same direction. When shooting, aim your Left Stick in the desired direction. It is not recommended to release the Left Stick when shooting.

Shoot: To load force, hold Button South and let go to shoot the ball. The sound, color, and length of the pointer will determine the ball’s force. You can also shoot with Left Should Buttons. This is recommended if you are using items enabled, especially in dynamic and extreme modes.

Place: Place the ball at the beginning of each level. To place the ball, press Button South if satisfied with the position. After the ball has been reset, it is necessary to place it.

Move: Point the Left Stick in the direction you want the ball to go at the ball placement.

Reset: Hold Button East if you are unhappy with the current position to reset your ball. While this won’t incur an extra turn in the cla*sic mode, it will still require you to start from the beginning.

Give Priority: When playing in the cla*sic mode, players with lower scores have priority to start the level. Sometimes, however, starting a level can be disadvantageous. A player can give preference to a better player. To give priority to other players, hold Button East at ball placement.

Set Timer: Other players may struggle to decide what to do or take up too much of your time. For the current player, set a timer at Button North The timer will go off and the player is removed from the game.

Move Item: Items can be moved with your Right Stick if they are enabled

Rotate Item: You can also move items by pressing your Right Stick.

Activate Item: Depending on the item, you can activate, deactivate or shoot your item. You can also use Right Should Buttons. This is recommended if you are playing in extreme and dynamic modes.

Emojis: You can use up to nine Emojis to express your emotions. Each direction of the iPad is an emoji.

Open Overlay Menu: You can open the overlay menu in the game with your Command Button to modify settings, get help, or perform other actions. If you wish to leave the lobby, you will need to open the overlay Menu.
