I love MSFS 2020, however the first tutorial made me want to throw my keyboard
The instructions would ask me to press a button that did not match my keyboard
and the Objective language does not match the Control mappings at all
It took me a couple hours to find all the mappings
Here are some tables with exact matches so you don’t have to throw your keyboard

The tutorials are totally worth the struggle
I found them to be the perfect crash course on flying
and a nice way to step by step set up my controls
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did

Tutorial 6 first solo flight

Objective
For this one we have all the controls mapped
But there is a trick

The objectives are timed
So don’t do the next listed Objective until it is time
Remember your aim and timing ques from last lesson
The Objectives should turn green when you are in position to execute

Tutorial 7 Navigation

Objective Control
set cruise altitude what they mean is
choose an altitude and level out
you should also set your trim to maintain this altitude
start nav log stopwatch I looked all over the cockpit for a clock
The tutorial just wants you to use the NAV LOG menu
at the bottom left of your screen
At the very bottom of the menu is a start button

Pay attention to the times and headings in the NAV LOG
They will be all you have to guide you in the next lesson
reach Munds park golf club The voice does not mention it
but the guide pin shows us that we will need to gain altitude by the time we get there
follow the highway I think they are talking about the highway out the left window
but look for the airport a few miles down the road and a mile or so right of the highway

Tutorial 8 First Solo Navigation

Objective
The guide pins are gone and we are going backwards so our land marks are in reverse
Now the headings and times are all we have to navigate by
This time use the NAV LOG headings, your compass, and that NAV LOG timer
