Crystals

 
Crystals act as the Party’s ‘Turn Currency’. If you’ve played a PS2 or DS / 3DS Shin Megami Tensei title, you may be familiar with the ‘Press Turn System’ that Misery & Greed is inspired by. 
 
Each Turn, your Party will be granted a number of Crystals equivalent to the number of Alive or Fully Zombified Party Members. Your Party must spend Crystals to use their Skills. Those spent Crystals, however, may instead become a Fading Crystal. 
 
Spent Crystals may become a Fading Crystal if : 
> Skill used is Efficient 
> Skill hits an enemy’s Weakness 
 
You can acquire additional Fading Crystals if : 
> You possess an Item providing one 
> You utilize a rare Skill to procure them 
 
Crystals are used in order therefore causing Fading Crystals to be spent before regular Crystals. This means that if you spend 1 Fading Crystal to use an Efficient Skill, that Fading Crystal will be spent – the regular Crystal proceeding it will be unaffected. Keep this in mind as you manage your Party.

Mr. Manager is an Uncommon Encounter who will ask you 5 Questions regarding various in-game mechanics. If you get all 5 correct, he’ll give an item. Get one wrong and he’ll explode… better luck next time. 
 
Many of his questions will be regarding the effects of Buffs & Debuffs. 
 
“You’re fully maimed and need to use a skill that hits 4 times to defeat the enemy. How much HP do you lose?” 
> Seven 
 
“The higher ups have demanded we make time for mandatory meditation. What are the benefits of being fully Focused?” 
> Your damage bypasses positive resistances. 
 
“We care deeply about all associates. What are the effects of being fully Traumatized?” 
> An extra crystal is lost when damage is negated. 
 
“We’re cracking down on improper operation of shielding hardware and software. What kinds of skills can be prevented by full Protect?”
