Easter Eggs that can easily be missed in Life is Strange True Colors

Intro

Hello everyone 🦉

This guide is a compilation of Easter Eggs that you can find in Life is Strange True Colors. Most of it (if not all) are references to previous Life is Strange games (LIS, LIS 2 and LIS Before the Storm) so you might need to play them to understand the whole meaning and context of it.

Please note that this guide is still under construction, mistakes can be made (I apologize in advance) and there’s still a lot to explore and discover in Life is Strange True Colors so you probably won’t find every Easter Egg possible in here. However, I will definitely edit and add more stuff in the future!

Warning: I’ll try to avoid spoilers as much as I can (from all the games), I guarantee there won’t be any major spoilers… but keep in mind that might have little ones ahead.

Hawt Dawg Man T-shirt + figure

The Hawt Dawg man is a well known mascot in the Life is Strange franchise. He is pretty much a Hot Dog hero and a pop cultural figure that can be found numerous times in all the games (even Captain Spirit).

”He’s refered as the “iconic Hawt Dawg Man mascot” by Square Enix”

In True Colors, you can see a figure at the top of Steph’s drum in Chapter 1 and Alex has the option to wear The Hawt Dawg Man T-shirt during chapter 4.

Firewalk band posters

ᴮᵉᶠᵒʳᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ˢᵗᵒʳᵐ

In Steph’s record store you can find a couple of posters of the Firewalk band, a punk rock band which Chloe and Rachel are a fan of and appears in Life is Strange Before the Storm.

Chloe’s shirt

ᴸⁱᶠᵉ ⁱˢ ˢᵗʳᵃⁿᵍᵉ

Still in the Record Store, you can find a skull T-shirt hanging on top that looks like the sleeveless skull shirt that Chloe wears in Life is Strange. And on the left side there’s a deer T-shirt that might not be an easter egg but might also be a reference to Max.

Illuminati graffiti

At the mill in chapter 1 you can find numerous graffities around the place, including the Illuminati eye also known as “Eye of Providence” that appears several times in Arcadia Bay in Life is Strange and in Life is Strange 2, also an optional wearable shirt for Chloe Price in Before The Storm

Mcnamara graffiti

Still at the Mill there’s a graffiti written ”Julie Mcnamara is a F**king Sk*nk” which ”Mcnamara” is also the second name of Finn from Life is Strange 2.

According to Life is Strange wiki, his full name ”Finn Mcnamara” is revealed in the credits of Episode 4 of LIS 2.

Chloe’s truck in the Flower Shop

Whenever you go to the Flower shop, you can see a flower vase at the top shelf that looks exactly like Chloe’s truck.

Wolf Sweater

ᴸⁱᶠᵉ ⁱˢ ˢᵗʳᵃⁿᵍᵉ ²

In chapter 2 you can wear a sweater of two wolves howling, which is a direct reference to the Wolf Brothers story, that is the animated recap cutscene featured in Life is Strange 2. Also an important symbol that represents the two brothers, Sean and Daniel Diaz.

This video might have major spoilers of LIS2 btw~

Comics

In the Record Store you can see a small shelf with tons of comic books, some are references to movies such as The Iron Giant (1999) and Friday The 13th (1980), and one that is called Life is Strange.

Secret Room + Chloe’s ashtray reference

In chapter 2 (or any that you can explore) you have access to a secret room down the alley close to Riley. And you see a Colorado ashtray that might be a reference to Chloe’s Oregon ashtray.
