Welcome to this post This Landfall Archives – How to Build Airships 2 (2018) Guide was written to be of use to you, and it is our honest hope that you will find that to be the case.
Airships 2 (2018-): Everything you need to Know (sort of) about creating your airship.

All Building Blocks, Tools and Equipment Expleen
There are many blocks and tools hidden in the inventory. To use them, press TAB then drag to the hotbar.
TOOLS
Scanner
More on saving ship loads is explained below.
Pistol
A handgun that fires quickly.
Rifle
High accuracy, low rate of fire.
BUILDING BOLOCK
Beam
Thick structural blocks with varying lengths, curvatures and thickness.
Wood
Thin structural blocks with varying lengths and curvatures.
Joint
A connector between the blocks (I thought it was just decorative)
Propeller
>Regular : small power output
>Big is a high-power output.
>Huge : ma*sive power output
Controller
>Up: controls vertical motion of green axis propeller.
Controls forward-backward movement for blue axis propeller.
>Turn: controls the left-right movement.
Button
Activates the object it is attached to (Propeller or rotator).
Rotator
When activated by pressing a button on the device, it will rotate continuously whatever is attached to it.
Gatling
When activated, the button fires a rapid hail of shots.
Cannon
When pressed, it shoots an explosive bullet (i think).
Shield
Protects an area in a circle from bullets. (currently will mess ship save. Only add if needed)
Radar
Shoots a blue beam of light that points at the ground (mostly).
Range finder
It can be used for alignment during flight by shooting a beam of light red that points forward.
COS
When interacting, periodically increase or decrease the speed cannon
Airship Basics
A functional airship should consist of a main structure, at least a propeller and a controller which controls the speed.
Main Body of a Airship
You can build an airship using any of the building blocks available in the game. Under normal circumstances, beam and wood is a good choice for the airship’s structure.
Mouse scrolling can be used to scale the length of beams or wood. By left-clicking the block, you can place it down. To remove it, click right. Block will auto-snap on to another block when aimed.
Wood and beams can be curved with shift+scroll to achieve a more complex shape.
All building blocks, except controllers, are automatically symmetrical to maintain balance.
The first block is used as a foundation and will determine the overall axis of the airship. This will help with symmetry and propeller placement later. Attach a distance finder to determine the direction in which the ship is facing.
The axis lines show the center of gravity for the airship. It will change depending on how the blocks are placed and the size of the blocks.
Keep the center of gravity close to the middle of both the red and the blue axis. This will give you the best balance for vertical flight. The ship’s turning will be determined by the position of the center gravity along the green-axis.
Propeller and Controller
There are 3 types: “propeller”, large propeller and huge propeller. Each corresponds to the power output.
The number of blocks will affect the performance. To improve overall flight capability, multiple propellers could be installed.
Propellers behave differently depending on the direction they are facing. Each propeller type is controlled by a specific controller.
The up controller is used to control the green axis propeller. It moves the ship vertically.
The speed controller is used to move the ship forwards and backwards.
Turn controller that moves the ship left or right controls the propeller facing the red axis.
Each propeller is individually controlled by a single button.
Importing Airships and Saving Money
Using the scanner, a ship can be easily saved to be used in future sessions. The ship you saved with the scanner will not be deleted if you quit the game.
>Pull the scanner out.
Press “E”, to bring up the text area.
Please enter the name of the aircraft.
Right click on any object or airship to save it.
Click the airship in the scanner and left-click it.
If you want to save multiple ships under different names, go to the text field, and enter the name. Then, click on the left mouse button. This will launch the ship. Right clicking another object will replace the ship with the same name.
All ships will be saved as a.SHIP inside
C:\Users\(Your PC name)\AppData\LocalLow\Landfall\Airships 2\SavedShips
Files can be deleted, backed up and renamed. The name of the files is used in the game to spawn them.
In fact, it is possible to share.
Here’s the ships displayed above – Google.com
Extract the contents to the directory and spawn the program using the file name.
Bug: saving a shield-equipped ship will mess up the axis of that ship once it spawns (and you’ll also lose all shields attached to it), which makes further modification difficult if you rely on symmetry.
