L.A NOIRE is still an amazing game. And there is still a way to play it properly.

This guide contains the best mod i found and includes my own tricks.

• 5 steps to make it work

1 –Download the fan-made patch (created by VaanaCZ)

2 – Install it & follow the instructions.

3 – Run your videocard menu by right click on the desk, and try to pimp the game with it.

4 –Run L.A NOIRE.

5 – Set all options to high/max.

About ROCKSTAR SOCIAL CLUB & LAUNCHER : it always works perfectly for me. Just never change your login & password cause if you need Rockstar, they won’t ever answer, even an automatic mail. Choose the auto log.

L.A NOIRE Recipe & Legend

This game is a perfect mix between Grand Thef Auto (reversed, since we are playing the police there) and a point n’click, in a BLACK film / novel atmosphere (that is to say a sticky investigation like in 1930s-1960s.

Legend says that, entrusted to Australian studio Team Bondi, the game led to its downfall: its sequel, The wh♥re of the orient , never saw the light of day.

The real acting and capture process has done the game a great service, with the exceptional casting, and the flawless technique still 10 years later. It includes some of the actors and actresses of the MAD MEN series.

Play in a good way

• L.A NOIRE 10 Commandements

1 – Use your favorite controller when driving and searching for clues, switch to keyboard & mouse during gunfights. You have to bind the keys as you like and set mouse sensitivity.

2 – When you go looking for “hidden” vehicles they are not saved from one investigation to another, nor even always from one scene to another, so no need to scramble: just take them for free ride.

3 –You can answer radio calls from the police station in order to thwart misdeeds in town during investigations, but that will make you lose track of your current case: moreover, the vehicle may be damaged and you will be blamed for this. So it is better to do that in free mode.

4 –If you want to advance in the game, then you must always choose “resume”, and not choosing case by case, because the progression is not done that way. For years I thought I had finished the game because I was wrong on this point. Always: resume, unless you want to replay a case.

5 – Bonus DLC surveys can be played independently and the game offers you to skip them when you get to them during progress.

6 – Do not hesitate to ask for directions at each crossroads by pressing X (or the PlayStation square): the teammate will do it at will. He can help during investigations too.

7 – L.A NOIRE is a point n’click / adventure game is a bit special, in the sense that affairs are linked, and where you can choose, according to your conscience, the outcome of certain investigations. Your superiors may or may not like the result. Sometimes the truth is not obvious either. It’s your decision.

8 – Do not hesitate to accuse a suspect or a witness, just to put pressure on him and clarify things a little, before changing your mind if no evidence is tangible.

9 – Do not use the internet until the second attempt: conduct investigations instinctively first; you will get more pleasure and you will spoil yourself less.

10 –Take your time. L.A NOIRE is a slowburn that needs to be enjoyed slowly.

I am just a big fan of this game. I am not a hotline. If you have trouble with ROCKSTAR, i can’t help you. The thing is, i just autolog and pray that everything is gonna be ok, and that’s all.
