Hello and welcome, We will discuss the Insurgency: Sandstorm – How to Remove Stutter and Boost FPS in this post, and we sincerely hope you will find it helpful.

This tutorial will show you how to increase your frame rate and eliminate stuttering in-game.

What to do

1. First, copy and paste the following lines into your Engine.ini which is usually located at C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Insurgency\Saved\Config\WindowsClient:

[TextureStreaming]

BoostPlayerTextures=1.0

AllowStreamingLightmaps=False

r.Streaming.DropMips=0

r.Streaming.LimitPoolSizeToVRAM=0

r.Streaming.MipBias=0

r.Streaming.UseAllMips=1

r.Streaming.UseMaterialData=1

r.Streaming.UseNewMetrics=1

r.Streaming.UsePerTextureBias=1

After adding these lines, save your document.

2. Next, right click Insurgency Stormstorm in steam and choose properties. Copy and paste the following commands to launch (remove existing ones if necessary):

-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -NoGlobalInvalidation -dx12 -malloc=tbbmalloc/system -NOTEXTURESTREAMING

Although I didn’t do the following, I’m happy to share the original guide with you.

3. After you’ve added the launch commands, you can start your game. Go into your settings and disable Texture Streaming Pool. Exit the game, remove the launch command “-NOTEXTURESTREAMING” and launch the game again without this command.

4. Textures should look terrible. You can try turning Texture Streaming Pool high and then back off. Now, open the console command by pressing F5 or the tilde key

(To return to normal typing, press shift + alt when the console opens.

Once the console opens, type r.streaming.poolsize-1 and hit the enter key. Boom! Your textures are back. It should now be extremely smooth and give you a huge fps boost with virtually no graphical loss.

Keep in mind that you will need the console command r.streaming.poolsize-1 each time you start the games or change the settings.
