General Casting Advice

 
After you successfully cast each spell it will be permanently listed in your spellbook for the future, including new characters. 
 
You can only cast the spell if it is within 3 levels of your current magic skill level, suffering a 25% failure chance for every level above your own. So for example in order to have a 100% chance to cast Cure Deadly Wounds, you will need to be level 30 in White Magic. 
 
You can quickly level Necromancy, White Magic and Conjuration by standing atop the Shelter ladder and resting, leaving to cast out of combat spells, then going back in to rest. Elemental and Black Magic will need to be levelled in combat. I personally used Icy Rain to level Elemental spells and used the highest non-damaging Black Magic spell I had access to in order to level Black Magic. 
 
Keep in mind all of damage values listed will be affected by your Intelligence stat or any other applicable modifiers, and they are only the base damage of the spell. 
 
 

Black Magic

 
Curse — MALE — Level 1 — Cost 180 SP 
Causes Curse (4 rounds) on the enemy. Note: Ignores half of the enemy’s Willpower. 
 
Torment — ANTO — Level 3 — Cost 220 SP 
Causes 125-375 damage. 
 
Black Mass — MENE — Level 4 — Cost 240 SP 
Causes Mighty (12 rounds) on your character, but he’ll be Cursed (12 rounds). Note: Intelligence extends Mighty and shortens Cursed. 
 
Blindness — CENE — Level 6 — Cost 350 SP 
Can cause Blindness (5 rounds) on the enemy. 
 
Cloud of Sickness — NUVE — Level 7 — Cost 400 SP 
Causes 200-400 damage and causes Sickness (5 rounds). 
 
Confusing Blast — CONE — Level 8 — 400 SP 
Causes 250-500 damage and Confusion (5 rounds). 
 
Rotten Skin — PEMA — Level 9 — 650 SP 
Causes Exposed (10 rounds). 
 
Poisoning Weapons — ARVE — Level 10 — 500 SP 
Melee attacks cause Poison. 
 
Mist of Death — FOVE — Level 15 — 1000 SP 
Causes Poison (10 rounds) and Weakness (10 rounds). 
 
Vampirism on Self — VASE — Level 18 — 850 SP 
Causes Vampirism (5 rounds) on self. 
 
Drain Health — SUSA — Level 20 — Cost 750 SP 
Causes 100 damage to the enemy and restores 100 health to the player. 
 
Behemoth’s Voice — ELVO — Level 21 — Cost 800 SP 
Causes Confusion (7 rounds), Unbalanced (3 rounds), and pushes the enemy back. 
 
Vengeful EyeANPE — Level 22 — Cost 500 SP 
The Eye observes the enemy. After 10 rounds the Eye deals damage equal to the damage dealt by the enemy during its duration. 
 
Beelzebub’s Swarm — SABE — Level 24 — Cost 1000 SP 
Causes 150-250 damage 5 times and Sickness (5 rounds). 
 
Acid Rain — PIMO — Level 27 — Cost 1300 SP 
Causes 20-40 damage for every drop. 
 
Inferno I — BAAL — Level 30 — Cost 850 SP 
Causes extreme damage. You need to cast Inferno I, Inferno II, and Inferno III within 10 rounds to unleash this spell. 
 
 

White Magic

 
Antidote — ANVE — Level 2 — Cost 150 SP 
Removes Poison from your body. 
 
Cure Light Wounds — CUFE — Level 2 — Cost 200 SP 
Restores 50 – 200 HP. 
 
Restoration — RIBE — Level 3 — Cost 180 SP 
Restores some Stamina. 
 
Bless — BEDI — Level 5 — Cost 300 SP 
Causes Bless (3 rounds). 
 
Self Blur — AUSF — Level 7 — Cost 450 SP 
Causes Self Blur (3 rounds). 
 
Holy Touch — SATO — Level 8 — Cost 350 SP 
Removes every ailment. 
 
Song of Luck — CAFO — Level 10 — Cost 300 SP 
Causes Lucky (5 rounds). 
 
Cure Serious Wounds — CUGR — Level 13 — Cost 450 SP 
Recovers 250-500 HP. 
 
Slow Metabolism — MELE — Level 15 — Cost 800 SP 
Halves the reduction of hunger and thirst. 
 
Song of Speed — CAVE — Level 17 — Cost 600 SP 
Causes Haste (5 rounds). 
 
Song of Wisdom — CASA — Level 20 — Cost 650 SP 
Causes Bright (5 rounds). 
 
Holy Ray — RASA — Level 22 — Cost 500 SP 
Can cause Blindness (5 rounds) on any kind of enemy and 500-1000 damage to Undead. 
 
Song of Might — CAPO — Level 25 — Cost 750 SP

Elemental Magic

Creates a stone and throws it at the enemy. Note: Its damage and hit chance are modified by the Throwing Weapons skill. 
 
Fire Claw — LIFU — Level 2 — Cost 170 SP 
Causes 150-275 damage and Warm (8 rounds). 
 
Icy Rain — PIGE — Level 2 — Cost 100 SP 
Removes Burning and Warm status. 
 
Freezing Ray — RACO — Level 3 — Cost 250 SP 
Causes 175-350 damage and Chilled (5 rounds). 
 
Freezing Weapons — ARGI — Level 4 — Cost 400 SP 
Melee attacks cause Frozen. 
 
Ice Barrier — BAGI — Level 5 — Cost 250 SP 
Absorbs the next enemy attack.

Conjuration Magic

 
Magic Map — MAIN — Level 1 — Cost 100 SP 
See the map of the surrounding area that you have explored. 
 
Leave Limbo — ESLI — Level 2 — Cost 100 SP 
Allows you to leave the Limbo (random dungeon). 
 
Magic Compass — BUMA — Level 3 — Cost 250 SP 
The magic compass always points towards the Shelter. 
 
Magic Vision — VIMA — Level 4 — Cost 200 SP 
Allows you to see magic walls. 
 
Magic Light — LUME — Level 4 — Cost 300 SP 
Lights the area around you. 
 
Premonition — SPIE — Level 5 — Cost 350 SP 
Shows names and numbers of enemies around you. 
 
Shelter Portal — RIFU — Level 6 — Cost 1000 SP 
Teleports you to the Shelter. 
 
Sanctuary — SAIN — Level 7 — Cost 250 SP 
Reduces the chance of getting attacked while camping. You move after casting this spell, it is wasted. 
 
Light Feet — PILE — Level 9 — Cost 400 SP 
You can walk on traps. 
 
Concealing Mist — NENA — Level 10 — Cost 350 SP 
If you engage an enemy while covered in the concealing mist, you will act first. 
 
Open Lock — APSE — Level 12 — Cost 500 SP 
Automatically opens locked chests and doors with locks up to level 5. 
 
Calm Enemies — CANE — Level 15 — Cost 1000 SP 
Shrinks the area controlled by enemies. 
 
Enhanced Magic Map — MASG — Level 17 — Cost 500 SP 
Shows the map of the surroundings without fog of war. 
 
Magic Fire — BAMA — Level 20 — Cost 4000 SP 
Creates a magic encampment (you can use it as a campfire). 
 
Vanishing — FUMA — Level 22 — Cost 1500 SP 
You escape from the battle. 
 
Forward Phase Shift — VOAV — Level 25 — Cost 350 SP 
Teleport yourself close to the enemy in battle. 
 
Backward Phase Shift— VOIN — Level 25 — Cost 350 SP 
Teleport yourself as far as possible from the enemy in battle. 
 
 

Necromancy

 
Keep in mind you can only have one creature summoned at a time. 
 
Summon Skeleton — EVSE — Level 3 — Cost 250 SP 
Summons a skeleton. 
 
Anima Drain — ANPA — Level 4 — Cost 300 SP 
Causes 150-300 damage and fills a summon charge. 
 
Rise of the Dead — RISU — Level 5 — Cost 1000 SP 
Unveils the presence of a spirit that may stand next to a tombstone. Can also be used to extract a soul from a corpse. 
 
Slave’s Gift — RESC — Level 6 — Cost 350 
Use a summon charge to fill the adrenaline level. 
 
Summon Dead Spider — EVRA — Level 9 — Cost 450 SP 
Summons a dead spider that can cause Poison. 
 
Dark Command — OSCO — Level 10 — Cost 250 SP 
Encourage the summoned monsters to act faster filling the summon charge. 
 
Voodoo Doll — BAVO — Level 13 — Cost 1200 SP 
Causes 15-30 damage every round for the rest of the combat. 
 
Summon Undead — EVZO — Level 16 — Cost 750 SP 
Summon an undead that can cause sickness. 
 
Summon Ghost — EVFA — Level 20 — Cost 1200 SP 
Summons a ghost that can cause Weakness.
