Thank you for visiting, and welcome to the Hogwarts Legacy – Best video settings + Full-screen fix + Low-med input lag Guide!
Here’s the complete list of optimizations I found:
1. DISABLE FULLSCREEN OPTIMIZATIONS
Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy, right-click .exe, properties, compatibility, disable full-screen optimizations, and save.
2. FORCE FULLSCREEN MODE
Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\ in windows explorer and open GameUserSettings.ini, then replace this
FullscreenMode=1
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=1
This is what you get
FullscreenMode=0
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
PreferredFullscreenMode=0
Save.
3. BEST DISPLAY & VIDEO STATIONS
Window mode: Fullscreen

You can replace DLAA with DLSS depending upon your rig. I’m currently playing on a 6gig 2060m. The interface is still very appealing visually and the input delay comfort range is at its limit.
If you do step 2, you will be able to see that the game is in full-screen mode and takes precedence on the primary screen.
Full-screen will not be displayed because the game doesn’t support it currently, likely due DX12 compatibility.
It’s a great idea!
