A comprehensive guide to getting all 83 Steam achievements on IO Interactive’s Hitman 3, released on January 20th 2022 (on Steam)

Introduction and Tips

Welcome to my guide on Hitman 3 achievements. I hope it proves useful!

Hitman 3 has 83 Steam achievements, 47 of which come with the base game, the other 36 are from the Hitman 1, Hitman 2 and the Hitman 2 Expansion pack. So you will need access to all 20 locations + the 3 sniper maps to get 100% completion.

I strongly recommend turning on the silent assassin HUD. This can be done in game by navigating to options>gameplay>HUD and switching silent assassin HUD on.

This will be particularly useful if you are trying to get silent assassin achievements.

When the guns are green, you have silent assassin rating, so ensure

to have green guns when leaving a mission to end that mission as a silent assassin.

When the guns are red, you have lost the silent assassin rating, and will need to reload a save in which you still have green guns.There is an exception to this as if your target sees you knock them out, you will have an unconscious witness, and your silent assassin rating will be lost, however it can be reclaimed by killing and hiding the target, as they are now no longer a witness. This only works on targets as having a non-target unconscious witness and killing them will not return your green guns as killing non-targets will always take away your silent assassin rating.

When the guns alternate between yellow and the camera icon, you have been spotted by a camera, these icons are only present in the “Professional” and “Master” modes, as there are no cameras in “Casual” mode. When you get these icons, your silent assassin rating is lost, but can easily be reclaimed by disabling the level’s security system, so no need to reload a save. Every level will have a security room and a box that looks like this:

Destroying evidence as shown in the picture will disable all security cameras and return your silent assassin rating/green guns. Destroying evidence will always be an illegal action, so if there is someone watching you do it, you will lose silent assassin and will have to reload a save. Fortunately, shooting the camera recorder with a suppressed weapon will also disable it, the guards on patrol may hear your bullet impact, but as long as they don’t see you shoot it, you will not lose silent assassin.

To finish a mission with silent assassin rating you must meet these conditions.

• Kill only the targets

  Pretty self-explanatory, kill only the targets you have been contracted to kill. Non-targets can be incapacitated and hidden, just make sure they are not unconscious witnesses, or killed.

• Do not get spotted

  This means not letting your suspicion meter become full. As mentioned before, you can be spotted by your target, as long as you kill them afterwards.

• Have no witnesses

  This means you cannot get spotted doing/performing any illegal activities, examples of illegal activities include erasing camera evidence, lock-picking and first-degree murder.

• No bodies found

  This sounds self explanatory but isn’t. Bodies can be found if the target was killed in an accident, or if they were killed by poison. There are six accidents that keep your silent assassin rating, these include: Being crushed by an object (chandelier, toilet, boat, etc.), being drowned in a toilet, being pushed off a ledge, being electrocuted, being set on fire, and being in an explosion. A target can also be poisoned, either by consuming it, or by being injected with it. In all these cases, as long as you are not spotted making the accident happen/administering poison, the body can be found and your silent assassin rating will be maintained.

• No non-target kills

  Non-targets cannot be killed under any circumstances, there are no exceptions to this rule.

 

 

Prologue

The tutorial missions contain five achievements. 5/83

The Result of Previous Training:

Complete the mission “Freeform Training” in the prologue. Your assassin rating doesn’t matter.

Cleared for Field Duty:

Complete the mission “The Final Test” in the prologue. Your assassin rating doesn’t matter.

Seizing the Opportunity:

Complete any Mission Story in “The Final Test”. Your assassin rating doesn’t matter.

Silent Assassin:

Complete “The Final Test” unspotted. Kill only Jasper Knight, ensuring his body is not found. Your assassin rating DOES matter and the achievement won’t pop unless you get a silent assassin rating.

Training Escalated:

Complete Level 5 of an Escalation Contract set in the ICA Facility. Your assassin rating doesn’t matter.

Contracts

The contracts mode contains three achievements. 8/83

The Creative Assassin:

Complete the Contract Creation Tutorial. This can be located from the main menu by selecting game modes>contracts>create contract>contract creation tutorial

A New Profile:

Complete a Featured Contract. These can be found under the elusive target arcade on the main menu. This is the current featured target at the time of writing although I’m sure yours will be different:

Top of The Class:

Beat the highest leaderboard score on a contract. This can be done on a contract of your own making. So create a contract with an easy objective, and on your first play-through set a score that can easily be beaten, you can do this by wasting time, losing silent assassin etc. Then on your second play-through you can score higher by completing the objective properly.

Non-specific Level Achievements

There are 4 non-specific level achievements. 12/83

Unseen Assassin:

Assassinate a Target without being spotted. This is an incredibly easy achievement to get, and can be completed as early as the prologue missions. All you have to do is kill a target while no one is watching.

Tools of the Trade:

Assassinate Targets with Ballistic, Accident and Explosion Kills. A ballistic kill is killing a target via bullet. An accident is dropping a heavy object on the target, drowning them etc, and an explosion kill is… killing a target with an explosion.

Stylish Assassin:

Get 10 different Playstyles.. At the time of writing, there are 76 different playstyles discovered so far. This achievement requires you obtain 10 of them. Instead of listing 10 playstyles here, I have discovered a reddit thread – [reddit.com]  compiling all discovered playstyles and how to get them, so you can pick which styles you think might be easiest. Shortcut Killer:

Find and unlock 15 Shortcuts. Shortcuts are hard to miss, they are easily distinguishable by their yellow colour and once interacted with, enable the player to bypass certain areas on repeat play-throughs. Shortcuts are a new addition to the series and only appear in the third game, meaning you can only unlock them on the Hitman 3 maps. There are 17 shortcuts throughout the six levels. You will need to interact with 15.

When No One Else Dares

Complete the main mission “The Showstopper” Earned by eliminating Victor Novikov and Dalia Margolis, then successfully extracting.

City of Light

Reach Paris Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Die By the Sword

Complete the main mission “World of Tomorrow” Earned by eliminating Silvio Caruso, Francesca De Santis and The Virus, then successfully extracting.

Amalfi Pearl

Reach Sapienza Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Too Big to Fail

Complete the main mission “A Gilded Cage” Earned by eliminating Claus Hugo Strandberg and Reyza Zeydan, then successfully extracting.

Ancient Marrakesh

Reach Marrakesh Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Shining Bright

Complete the main mission “Club 27” Earned by eliminating Jordan Cross and Ken Morgan, then successfully extracting.

One Night in Bangkok

Reach Bangkok Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Guerrilla Warfare

Complete the main mission “Freedom Fighters” Earned by eliminating Sean Rose, Penelope Graves, Ezra Berg and Maya Parvati, then successfully extracting.

Mission Complete

Reach Colorado Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

A Long Time Coming

Complete the main mission “Situs Inversus” Earned by eliminating Erich Soders and Yuki Yamazaki, then successfully extracting.

Sayōnara

Reach Hokkaido Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Perfectionist

Complete Suit Only and Silent Assassin Challenges on The Icon, A House Built on Sand or Landslide.

By Now you will be familiar with how to get silent assassin rating on a mission. This achievement requires you earn silent assassin on one of three extra missions, while only using your suit. This means no disguises. Use your own discretion in choosing the mission you find easiest to complete under these conditions, but it must be one of the three above.

Hitman 2

The following achievements are DLC.

Infiltrator

Complete the main mission “Nightcall” Earned by eliminating Alma Reynard, then successfully extracting.

Local Knowledge

Reach Hawke’s Bay Mastery Level 5

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 5.

Damage Control

Complete the main mission “The Finish Line” Earned by eliminating Robert and Sierra Knox, then successfully extracting.

Miami Wise

Reach Miami Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Tactical Strike

Complete the main mission “Three-Headed Serpent” Earned by eliminating Rico Delgado, Andrea Martinez and Jorge Franco, then successfully extracting.

Dark Tourist

Reach Santa Fortuna Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Pirate Hunter

Complete the main mission “Chasing a Ghost” Earned by eliminating Dawood Rangan, Vanya Shah and the Maelstrom, the successfully extracting.

Keys to the City

Reach Mumbai Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Long Shot

Complete the main mission “Another Life” Earned by collecting three clues to pinpoint the Constant’s location and eliminating Nolan Cassidy and Janus, then successfully extracting.

Pillar of the Community

Reach Whittleton Creek Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

This is Maintenance

Complete the main mission “The Ark Society” Earned by eliminating Zoe and Sophia Washington and optionally, successfully extracting with Arthur Edwards.

Honorary Member

Reach Isle of Sgàil Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Hitman 2 Expansion Pass

The following achievements are DLC

Break the Bank

Complete the main mission “Golden Handshake” Earned by eliminating Athena Savalas, then successfully extracting with the data core.

Top of the Heap

Reach New York Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Island and Chill

Complete the main mission “The Last Resort” Earned by eliminating Tyson Williams, Steven Bradley, and Ljudmila Vetrova, then successfuly extracting.

Null and Void

Reach Haven Island Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Sniper Assassin Maps

The following achievements are DLC.

The Sniper assassin maps contain 7 achievements 48/83

Silent Sniper

Complete the main mission “The Last Yardbird” as silent assassin. Earned by eliminating Dorian Lang, Guillaume Maison, Doris Lee and the 15 bodyguards, all while maintaining silent assassin.

Hawkeye

Complete the main mission “The Pen and the Sword.” Earned by eliminating Re Thak, Lhom Kwai, Jin Noo and the 15 bodyguards, all while maintaining silent assassin, AND keeping the hostages alive.

Seven Figures

Get a score above 1,000,000 points on “The Pen and the Sword.” In the time it takes to earn silent assassin rank, you will be fairly familiar with this map. Killing in quick succession, getting moving head-shots and making sure you hide all bodies all boost your score and give you this achievement fairly easily.

Pure Poetry

Complete all “The Pen and the Sword” Challenges. There are 27 challenges on The Pen and the Sword, and to save time and resources i’m going to link two guides – [trueachievements.com]  that both go into detail about how to complete each challenge. Thanks Dang3R Gaming and Lt Davo!

Never Knew What Hit Them

Complete the main mission “Crime and Punishment” as silent assassin. Earned by eliminating Roman Khabko, Vitaly Reznikov, the 15 bodyguards and creating a riot in the Perm-14 prison, all while maintaining silent assassin.

In a League of Their Own

Get a score above 1,000,000 points on “Crime and Punishment.” In the time it takes to earn silent assassin rank, you will be fairly familiar with this map. Killing in quick succession, getting moving head-shots and making sure you hide all bodies all boost your score and give you this achievement fairly easily.

Capital Punishment

Complete all “Crime and Punishment” challenges. Again I have linked – [xboxachievements.com]  a guide showcasing videos that go into detail about each challenge. Thanks to MrFreeze2244!

 

Dubai

The following achievements are in the base game.

Dubai contains 6 achievements 54/83

Death From Above

Complete the main mission On Top Of The World. Earned by eliminating Carl Ingram and Marcus Stuyvesant, then successfully extracting.

Rise Up

Complete all mission stories in “On Top Of The World.”

Self-explanatory, just follow each mission story until you get a tick in the upper-left corner.

Dune Raider

Reveal all undiscovered locations in Dubai. Once you interact with the map terminal, you will be able to see what areas you are still to explore.

Stair Master

Reach Dubai Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Treacherous Architecture (secret)

Kill Ingram with his oil-rig model, push Stuyvesant off the balcony, and eliminate both in the air

Ingram can be killed with his oil-model easily by completing the mission story “Bird of Prey” as he will conveniently stand over it when you are alone with him in the penthouse area.

Stuyvesant can also be pushed off the balcony at the end of the “(in)security” story mission, where after throwing the knives at the four targets, he will stand in a spot where he can be easily pushed off:

To kill both targets in the air you will need to first gain the evacuation keycard from one of two safes. The code to both is 6927

Next kill the helicopter pilot. This will force the targets to use the parachutes as a means of escape.

Next, use a kitchen knife (can be found on the same floor) and sabotage both parachutes in the penthouse area.

Finally, use the keycard you got from the safe to scan both keycard readers in the penthouse. One is right next to the parachutes and the other is shown on the floor above.

That’s it! now just wait and the achievement will be yours. The targets will run to the helipad and find the pilot dead, Lucas Grey will say that the parachutes are their last chance, and they’ll fall to their deaths.

Keep Your Eyes Peeled

Make a target slip and fall while evacuating in a skydiving suit. If you follow the steps in the achievement above, the targets will try to escape using parachutes, the only extra step is to go to the outdoor golf area and place a banana here:

A target will slip and your achievement will pop! A banana can be found in the security office in which you acquire the evacuation keycard.

Dartmoor

Master of the Household

Complete the main mission “Death In The Family.” Earned by eliminating Alexa Carlisle and successfully extracting with the providence data.

Full House

Complete all Mission Stories in “Death In The Family.”

Self-explanatory, just follow each mission story until you get a tick in the upper-left corner.

No Stone Unturned

Reveal all undiscovered areas in Dartmoor

Check your map to see which areas you are still to explore.

The Great Outdoors

Reach Dartmoor Mastery Level 20

If you earn enough XP on this level, you will reach mastery level 20.

Berlin
