Introduction

Half-Life: MMod, a fan-made mod for the original Half Life is now available. Much like the
“MMod” modification for Half-Life 2, – [moddb.com]

MMod is an mod that is designed to improve the visual presentation, improve the gameplay and gunplay system, and provide important quality-of-life enhancements. HL1: MMod is now compatible with MMod-compatible versions custom mapspacks and mods created by community members.

 

Campaigns that work with Half-Life: MMod are listed below. I plan to regularly update the guide as I continue to try various mods to see which ones work with others.

Half-Life

Half-Life:Uplink launched on February 12, 1999 and is Valve’s official demo of the original Half Life. Uplink offers a standalone storyline and levels that are not included in the base game. Visit the website to learn more about Uplink.

– HOW TO PLAY WITH the MMOD

Uplink is included with the base installation of Half-Life: MMod. You can play Uplink by simply opening MMod via Steam. “Play Half-Life 1” – MMod – Uplink Launch option.

USS Darkstar

USS Darkstar, released in August 1999 was a fan-made game developed by Neil Manke. The mod is set in 2066 and focuses on a compromised expedition of zoological researchers aboard the USS Darkstar . Its goal was to collect, discover and research new alien life-forms within unexplored regions of the universe.

 

– HOW TO PLAY WITH the MMOD

USS Darkstar is part of the base installation of Half-Life: MMod. To play the mod, simply start MMod via Steam and then choose the option to play. “Play Half-Life 1: MMod – Darkstar” Launch option

Someplace Else

Be aware – things are more complex than they appear. Intrigue and deceit are the main themes. A vicious pack of Nihilanthi aliens guard an ancient machine that has been contaminated with human technology. There are many questions, but no answers. Can they ever be resolved?

HOW TO PLAY the MMOD

To play Someplace Else with HL1: MMod, you’ll have to download
my MMod-compatible version of the mod. – [google.com]

Once you have downloaded the .rar file that is linked above, follow the instructions included in the “installation_instructions.txt” file in order to install and play the mod.

Closing Remarks

As I’ve mentioned before, this guide is a work-in-progress. Although the current list is quite small I’m planning to expand it as I continue to test various mods for compatibility with MMod.
