Creating a VPK

Step 1:

Create a shortcut to vipk.exe (vpk.exe can be found in the bin folder for the game you’re modding).

For example Half-Life 2’s is located at: steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\bin\vpk.exe

Step 2:

Place the new shortcut next to your mod folder to make it a vpk.

Drag your mod to the shortcut. The shortcut will display a new VPK version next to it.

Important Note:

To create a VPK File larger than 250mb, add the following command-line argument:

-M

This will divide the output VPK in as many VPKs as necessary, along with the final_dir.vpk.
