Direct Drive’s support for DIRECT DRIVE is limited BY WHAT I’VE USED

I’ve personally used Moza R5, The Moza R9 and Simucube Sport so far to test the same troubleshooting solution. Not sure of other brands such as fanatec and etc.

Problems:

The Game can read the wheel’s rotation as an input to a key

The Game states that my wheel is turning however the deadline before the Game recognizes it as turning is massive”

A single solution can solve both problems.

If your game reads the input of the steering wheel as a number-coded button such as [2] [L] or [R] rather than

[X Axis INVERSE] and [X Axis(X-Axis and INVERSE X-Axis)

You might experience odd behavior or a large DeadZone until it detects that you’re trying to turn. This is because the program interprets a certain percentage of your wheel as a Button instead of an Axis. The X-Axis will be registered depending on the speed you turn the wheel. You have to move the wheel left and right to get it past the center where the software is technically “reading” to interpret it correctly.

*Solution: “Un-Center” your wheel in the direction it makes sense. In your software, if the wheel is in 0* degrees the game will initially consider the steering as a “button” due to the fact that you’ve reached a certain point. If you rebind it and continue turning, you’ll receive the [INVERSE X-Axis] input for Left. This is the TRUE input for the wheel. The same principle applies to turning the wheel to the left. If it’s centered and you begin turning it, it will be read as a button. Rebind it and continue turning until it’s read to be [X-Axis.It’s a matter of resetting it.
