Hey there, welcome to this post, In this post, we will provide you with information regarding the FUEL – How to Run Steam Deck with Anti-Aliasing, and we hope you will find this page helpful.

This guide will teach you on how to enable Antialiasing for FUEL Steam Deck.

A problem with AA

As you probably know, no matter how you set the game up, in-game anti-aliasing does not work.

You’ll get a lot more annoying “ladders” around the edges of objects when using the native resolution (1280*800).

Steam deck is unlike the video driver control panel, where you can force anti-aliasing for a particular game.

I’ve used vkBasalt to apply SMAA/FXAA, which has not given any noticeable results.

It is a good idea to have a solution ready for you.

This is called super sampling antialiasing (SSAA). This is SSAA. SD handles this game at 60 fps, even in 1080p/1200p. (I didn’t check 1440p).

To do so, you must set the resolution of Steam Deck’s Game Settings (the gear icon in the game details).

You must ensure you do this at the very beginning of the game.

Set the resolution of the external/internal screen to 1600*1000. This will give a good result and a good battery life. It is possible to set it at 1920*1200. However, in this case, the in-game characters will not be as readable and the battery life will be less.

Then, rerun the game and make sure that “Video options” has been changed. Click OK and then play the game.

Enjoy a smoother, more fluid picture!
