Guide for optimizing game settings.

Please note that Fight or Flight is in Early Access and is constantly being developed and improved.

Very Low End, Recommended settings

These settings where tested on:
Intel I5-2500, Nvidia GTX-770 2GB, 8GB DDR3-1600, 512GB SSD.
Performance ranges from 50-100 fps depending on scene, at 1080p.

This is a VERY old system, so requires the lowest possible settings we can get for decent performance! 🙂

SETTINGS – PLAYER

The “Player” settings section is mostly down to personal preference.
In this image I have chosen to disable “Hazard Geiger Counter” and “Show Character Preview” as these options use up memory and CPU.
Disabling the Character Preview is recommended for low end video cards

SETTINGS – POST

The “POST” settings section is also mostly down to personal preference and all options have no performance impact.
This image shows my personal preferred settings.

SETTINGS – VIDEO

The “Video” settings section is where we get down to the good options.
This image shows settings that provided between 50 and 100fps at 1080p on this low end test machine.

The 770GTX here is a card with only 2GB of VRam, so I have all settings on low (click “low” button).
Then I have antialiasing set to “HIGH” as it gives a substantial visual improvement that is worth the performance cost.

With this very low end setup we do occasionally dip below 60FPS, so i am using “vertical sync” set to off.

OPTIONAL – Match Settings used in testing
The match settings are used for offline single player mode and have 2 main settings that can effect performance, particularly for low end CPU’s.
These two options are highlighted in the below image.
If you have a low end cpu i recommend 4-8 bots.
I have also chosen to not have monsters.

Thats it!
With these settings i was able to maintain a framerate averaging about 60fps at 1080p, that is much better than i was expecting for such low end hardware.
I hope that this guide can help anyone with low end hardware, and provide a smoother gameplay experience.
