This guide is more of a conceptual take rather than used for direct game improvement in Fall Guys. Eliminate the main threats as your chances of winning rises!

Threats

This guide will likely not directly improve, nor alter or affect your performance in the game. However this guide is more of a mental note or conceptual route on how you can possibly win or win more often. There are beans that have more experience than you, and perform better and are likely to win without the conditions of pure luck and grab manipulation. These are called Threats; beans that are able to outperform the rest of the other participants and are likely to win. There is another definition of threats but will go over later as Threat v.2 .They are in almost every show you are in, but how can you tell? With the addition of the new dub/crown rank this becomes a bit easier to notice.

General Rule

The skill or experience of threats are hidden unless they are revealed by what costumes they are equipped with. Costumes, as well banners/nicknames are not always the observations to assume threats. However, think of how they have obtained those cosmetics in the first place. It is your decision if you want to eliminate threats for the possible ability to win.

  • If a bean wearing a costume you already have and you know where you got it from deciphers if the bean is a threat or not.
  • Sometimes the banner holds the truth rather than the costume.
  • If a bean that has an exclusive costume that you do not have, assume this bean is a threat.
  • Consider Threat V.2 definitions for each bean if they follow the terms through their actions.
  • The shop will provide featured costumes for everyone to have. That is if they can afford it.
  • Your decision to eliminate threats come in different ways, so choose the way you are good at, or at the best opportunity.
Ex. Roll Out, Jump Showdown, Jump Club, Rock n Roll, Tail tag, Snowy Scrap, etc.

I’ll be going over each season(1-3) threats by ranking them with letters:
    S – EMERGENCY THREAT
    A – Top threat
    B – Moderate Threat
    C – Average Threat
    D – Low Threat/ baby beans
    E – AFKs
(If you like to skip to Season 3 go to the tab on the right that says “Season 3”)

These ranks are listed by my personal opinion as well as my own experience from each season of Fall Guys.

Season 1

SCheaters/Hackers: These were the abomination that spoiled the interactive fun of many beans. These beans are able to run faster and fly off over the map, obviously giving them an advantage. Before the Anti-cheat was applied these beans were likely encountered in frequent shows. If you haven’t seen a hacker bean, I suggest YouTube or Reddit. There was no way out to eliminate them unless the show provided a team game. Egg Scramble, Hoarders, Rock n Roll, Fall Ball, and Team Tail Tag were the few games that presented hope for eliminating the threat. Jinxed and Hoopsie Daisy would not work as the threat can fly up, avoid being tagged and scoring rings at abnormal rate. Fall ball can eliminate the threat, that is if the threat’s teammates begin scoring to their own goal, giving the other team a chance to win. Vice versa for Hoarders where the threat’s teammates as well as all other teams join in to remove all balls from the threat’s designated team color. This ideal strategy is similar towards Egg scramble by removing as many eggs as possible from the threat’s team color. For Rock n Roll, prevent the ball from being dropped down, as well block it from scoring. These types of strategies are varied by the teammates of the threat. Some may understand what needs to be done to eliminate the threat by eliminating themselves or even yourself. Others are clueless to win for the threat which signified their own loss at the finale. This threat was almost unstoppable, the best solution was to quit immediately to a new show. Video credit goes to my friend Zoom. We were both in that game.

AFeatured costumes: These threats were able to afford these costumes (5 crowns each for top & bottom) that were listed exclusively per week. Therefore, these threats have been consistently winning shows for that reason. They know how to play and know what works for them to succeed. Eliminate them at risk as they know how to eliminate you. High risk high reward.

Examples:

  • Scout
  • Bullet Kin
  • P-Body
  • Chell
  • Gris
  • Gato Roboto

BNon-featured crown items (Purple Ninjas/Superheroes/Diver/Toucan/Champ/Golden Egg): There were at least 1 or more of these threats in each show. These threats do not win consistent as tier A, but they still win couple of times. They were able to afford these costumes which requires either 5/5 crowns or 3/3 crowns. Therefore these threats had won previous shows and have more experience in the game than the causal average player. The behavior of these threats are generally aggressive so eliminate them at your own risk.

    Examples:

  • Master Ninja
  • Hero
  • Champ
  • Toucan
  • Fish Tank
  • Golden Hatchling
  • Little Leaguer

C Mixed Variations: These threats are generally the hardest to distinguish from each other from C to E. The casual players in short, and the tier majority into each show. These threats should not post an alarm to your chance at winning as they have the same chances as you. They understand the routes and how to get things done in each course. The progression of levels will eliminate them 1 by 1 or more. As for what costumes they wear are from kudos, from season pass, or from special giveaways from the developers (Prickles, Big Bad, Beta suit, Gordon Headcrab, etc). Those that have made it to the finale with you should be in consideration. The choice of eliminations is at your hands freely.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

DDefaults/Beginners:These threats should pose no alarm to your success. They do not have enough experience playing on Fall guys to know what’s going on at first. They are just beginning their journey to win their first crown. They can be found by wearing the default costume(s) as well as default colors, or costumes from the season pass . Eliminating them should not be a problem. However, these threats should not be prioritized first in elimination. Have level progression do its course, or eliminate them at the finale. Your choice.

E AFK: AWAY FROM KEYBOARD The only threat they present are:

  • When they are in-front and block you at the beginning of a racing round by staying motionless.
  • Being in a team game with the AFK bean. Do your best to put in double work.

Season 2

SHackers/Cheaters: Again, the only way to eliminate these threats are by team games which the threat’s teammates hopefully joins in to eliminate the hacker, by eliminating themselves. Otherwise, leave and rejoin to another show. You’re powerless against them. The latest addition to the Anti-cheat feature made hackers/cheaters show up less consistent, yet are still present.

ATwitch Rivals costumes: These threats have competed in Twitch Rivals. Out of the threats rather from tier B or C, they were chosen based on their gameplays and knowledge in the game on how to win. Quite rare to encounter, they are generally confirmed finalists by their performance. These threats vary in experience so take precaution on how you’re trying to eliminate. They are usually live streaming.

CNon-featured crown costumes + Social media costumes: There were at least 1 or more of these threats in each show. They were able to afford these costumes which required a fair amount of crowns. Though these threats didn’t have to win 10 crowns per week for each featured costume..or did they? Therefore these threats had won previous shows and have more experience in the game than the causal average player. The behavior of these threats were generally aggressive so eliminate them at your own risk. This tier also includes threats that wear social media exclusive costumes, such as the Black Knight and Magic Dragon. They’ve participated in contests hosted by the developers to seek the rewards. These threats are committed to the game, therefore they have more knowledge that the average player.

    Examples:

  • All Season 1 Tier B costumes
  • Monkey
  • Flower
  • Tomato
  • Horsey

The choice of eliminations is at your hands freely. Season 1 may have improved the beginners’ performance for Season 2 so they are added to D. New beginners of Season 2 are at least better than Tier E.

Otherwise, leave and rejoin to another show. You’re powerless against them. The addition of the anti-cheat feature has significantly decreased the presence of hackers/cheaters. Sadly, they are still around.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

ACrown Rank costumes: These are the main threats to look after. They are the threats which have consistently won shows over and over to obtain exclusively rare costumes and cosmetics. They know how to play, they know how to win each round, more importantly they know how to win the crown. Review the crown rank system list shown on steam or other sources. If the threat is equipped with a rank costume or cosmetic higher than you, they are automatically a threat. Threats that have costumes that are in a lower should still be consideration. They wear these costumes to flex on you, to show who is more skilled and better. Are you gonna take that!? Some example costumes are the golden witch, golden chicken, beanbot, ice cream, even the alligator. It’s by instinct to eliminate these threats before the finale where they flourish in skill. Another way to search for these threats is to overview each bean’s banner whenever you’ve qualified for the round. They can be hiding in disguise within the population so check the banners and nicknames. Eliminating these threats significantly increases your chance of winning the crown. fallguysultimateknockout.fandom.com – https://fallguysultimateknockout.fandom.com/wiki/Crown_Rank

Examples:

  • Ice Cream
  • BeanBot
  • Golden Witch, Golden Chicken, Golden Wolf, Golden Knight
  • Ice Crown Banner, Tagged Banner, #1 Banner

C Featured items + Non-featured Crown items + Social media costumes: These threats were able to afford costumes that are either 5 crowns or 3 crowns each for both top & bottom parts that were listed exclusively every 1-3 days. The time period of costumes shown at the shop puts more pressure into winning more crowns. Therefore, these threats have been consistently winning shows for that reason. They know how to play and know what works for them to succeed. Eliminate them at risk as they know how to eliminate you. High risk high reward. Adding the non-featured crown costume threats here which have adapted to be as skilled as the featured item threat level. The addition of exclusive items obtained outside the game are included in this rank. The threats that have obtained these costumes know how to play the game more than the average player. Do what you must do.

Threats V.2

These definitions on threats can be used to increase the ranking of that threat you are with in the game. Consider these terms as the “side dish” to the threats.

Grabbers – Spams grab to annoy or grief other beans, or utilize in gameplay. This action becomes a give away for the other beans. They know that one bean grabs; therefore, they are to take precaution in rounds such as Roll Out, Jump Showdown, Fall Mountain, Hexagone, and Roll Off.

Trolls – Directly griefs or annoys other beans in the action of elimination. Their purpose is to give others a hard time for qualification. They can be considered grabbers too if they use the action against other beans. For example, the yellow tube or twinkies at the center part of Slime climb is a good example. A troll or trolls will block passage for other beans to bypass in order to be eliminated by the slime. This attack is then followed by the moving blocks , followed by the slime ramp at the very end. Trolls will also utilize their weight to unbalance the platforms in See-Saw for other beans to fall. The platforms can also be used to prevent anymore passage to the goal, causing the beans to time out and be eliminated.

Personal Enemy – The one bean which personally annoys you only. This enemy would have a reason for their assaults but to you it seems there is none. They want to feed on your anger and frustration. They can be considered grabbers too if they use the action against you and other beans. They can be considered trolls if their actions involve eliminating you. To see them win would be the absolute worst.

Squads – A party of 2-4 beans that have an alliance together to win the crown. They work together in team games but can work together in other rounds for success. They sometimes wear matching costumes to label themselves as a squad. The squads’ costumes and actions speak for themselves. These threats working together can be dangerous. In the end however, only one of them can win

While these terms are outside from the original meaning of Threats, the idea is the behavior of contestants are going to be your real obstacles than the obstacle course itself. Observe for these terms during the show so you can avoid these types of threats, or take them on!!

How it works

At the beginning of the show displays all contestants at a population between 40 – 60. Notice that every bean is generally equipped with different costumes. It is your task to identify which ones out of the population are the threats. The first round shouldn’t be as important as rounds 2-3 as round progressions weeds out those that aren’t threats. If you had qualified in races or team games at a fast momentum, spectate each bean until you find a bean or more with unique costumes or banners that’s listed in the tier list.

Here’s how I do it:

  1. At the beginning of the first round. Glance at every bean to look for threats that are wearing threat level costumes, generally A or B.
  2. Once qualified from the round, spectate each bean’s costume or banner that matches up or exceeds your ranking. For me it’s rank 24 and over that are threats. Yet that doesn’t mean threats assumed to be rank 23 or lower aren’t threats, it’s based on prioritizing.
  3. Upon the announcement of a new round, depending on what it is, fortify a game plan on how to eliminate the threat(s). Are they in a different team? Sabotage their team from qualifying next round. Slime climb or Tail tag? Target them over the course for a chance of elimination. Upon this area, be careful how to approach them as you may get burn.

Here are some screenshot examples on threat identification. I’ve labeled the threats in red. Note these screenshots were from the latest Hardmode Event at 20-1-2021 (1/20/21) (January 20th 2021)

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

From Round 1 we see a bean wearing a beanbot bottom. I have both BeanBot parts and Golden Witch bottom. We can assume the threat does not have the BeanBot top part at first. Turns out the bean had the Qualified Nameplate so this became a bigger threat than to be expected. Then we have another threat with the Golden Chicken bottom(hard to see). Comparing to the other beans, I concluded these two were the biggest threats in this show.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

While spectating each bean, I found a Doom Slayer bean with the Tagged Nameplate. The Ninja with the Bean Bot bottom and the Pitcher with the Golden Chicken bottom both have the Qualified Nameplates. This one was added with the other two threats.

This was from round 3. All three threats still remain in the show.

I was eliminated by dumb sh*t on Fruit Chute. All rounds have been racing so I had no opportunity to really eliminate them. All three threats still remain. Finale awaits..

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout - Fall Guys Threats

The three main threats remain as the last three contestants in the show. Like I said before, these threats flourish their skills in the finale. Without disruption to their path, they WILL make it to the finale or worst, win.

Conclusion

This guide is not meant to be used as a way to get better in the game. This are just conceptual advice how to approach victory.Think of it as a small philosophy I had held over from hours of playing Fall Guys. As a hypothetical theory, if you take out the biggest threat that’s above your ranking or skill capacity before the finale, your chances of winning the crown are to increase, that is if dumb luck, or some stupid sh*t does not interfere. Every bean on the show is a threat however. Even the AFKs. Don’t forget when the biggest threat has fallen, there will be another to replace it right after. The big threats have been winning too many times so its time to fight back those threats. We, the beans that desire our first win or first couple of wins shall finally enjoy victory for once. This is the game plan I use when going into each show so I hope it comes in handy.
