This is a guide to pistol isol. It’s a hybrid playstyle. Both builds are equally strong in my opinion, so I recommend to choose the build with the less contested build path, especially with the less contested first zone.

You skill W first when using the Elegance build because it enables you to clear the three chickens in the hospital zone even if you are still on level 1 and you should do that because you need leather to craft your weapon.

Traps & Chance Items

My advise is to collect Gunpowder in Archery Range and an additional scrap metal as well as a piano wire in hotel to craft RDX on your route. Try to collect two additional leather pieces, a Walther PPK in hotel or at Beach and a turtle shell at beach or pond to craft Beretta M92F and a leather shield. You might need these two items for the Kelte gun and a mithril shield later on. Furthermore collect a tree of life and meteorite if you can, maybe you can craft a force core or glacial shoes with it (I always prefer to use it for a force core).

Kill animals on your way as long as it doesn’t slow you down too much (5sec per animal kill at max is advised). After completing your 6 items focus on farming wolves and bears because you have a good chance on getting useful items:

  • force core – dropped by bears, useable for Kelte Gun and after that for remote mines
  • mithril – dropped by bears and wolves, useable for mithril shield
  • cell phone – dropped by bears, useable for smart bombs
  • blueprint & platic parts – dropped by wolves and bears, combine into cell phone
  • white powder – dropped by wolves and bears, useable for C4

C4 is weaker than smart bombs but still a very good option if you can’t obtain all smart bomb materials. Looking for ALL trap materials directly on your route usually slows you down too much and is messing with your inventory space, so just go for RDX and try to get the additional materials from animals.

Playstyle

Try to be very defensive and slippery in the ealry game, just focus on ratting (completing your build as fast as possible) and then focus on farming animals. In the late game you will be insanely strong because all the animal farming pushes your weapon mastery and trap mastery (use your ult on cooldown to damage animals, so that your trap mastery gets increased as much as possible) by a ton. Furthermore mithril shield and Kelte are incredibly strong items if you can obtain them. If you manage to get some smart bombs or C4, this will make you even stronger in the final fight(s). Try to stack 2-3 mines from your ult and one smart bomb or C4 on top of each other at a time to deal a ton of burst damage to each enemy who passes through the activation radius. You can slow enemies with your W to lower their chances of getting away from the explosions. Thanks to the combination of attack power and skill amp, your whole kit will deal huge amounts of damage, your Q, your W, your ult and even your auto attacks! Furthermore a big part of it can hit multiple targets. You should only use autos if your skills are on cooldown though and don’t forget that you can lower your cooldowns by a significant degree when using your weapon skill. In the late game you are very hard to beat for melee characters, ranged heroes have a better chance because it’s easier for them to avoid your traps.
