In this guide i will teach you how to get guaranteed Legendary and artifact quality weapons
 
No lock picking airdrops and getting random gear anymore
 
 

Getting started

First of all i recommend a good supply of at least 10 toughness or regeneration boosters, immunity boosters and some UV bars.
 
If you’re short on materials dont worry, just get a whole lot of arrows and/or bolts.
 
Toughness boosters considerably reduce the amount of physical damage you take, making you basically immortal unless you get hit with poison, fire or an electric box
 
 

 
 
 

Finding random encounters (at night)

Just go out at night, try not to get chased and find the orange Bolter Icon
 
 

 
 
Most of the time you will find a goon along a charger or just 2 chargers. You can also find a Demolisher, but its less common. Killing these infected will reward you with a high tier weapon.

These encounters dont always spawn on the first try, so i will track them down to make a full run map containing all of these locations on each part of the map on the future.
 
 
 

Getting your weapons

Just kill the guy with the mark using your melee or ranged weapons, try not to alert howlers unless you want some uninvited guests.
 
 

 
 
After it’s dead you will get the Infected Defeated message and some XP but we are gonna focus on looting the body:
 
 

 
 
As you can see i got a legendary Shoelace machete
 
 

 
 

 
 
Here i showed you the last weapon i got while making this guide, and believe it or not its the highest damage weapon i’ve ever gotten, the first one was the paper cutter I’m currently using which had 487 damage and got to a total of 620 dmg with max level weapon mods.
 
 
Important: Weapons can be of artifact or legendary quality, in fact the only difference sometimes is the color of the icon, I have Artifacts with more damage than legendaries and they all have the same number of sockets for mods and a charm.
 
 
 

Before you go

Before you start killing goons and chargers remember this was in a Normal difficulty game, results may vary in hard difficulty and i would greatly appreciate if someone who plays on it can tell me if they do. Remember to level up your toughness boosters, uv bars and weapon mods, so you can start raiding quarantine zones mid day and farm mutation samples, trophies and Valuable items.
