DOOM Eternal – Optimised Viewmodel FOV

Introduction

There is a trend for some time now in the FPS genre where, for unknown reasons, the models of the weapons take too much of the screen. DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal suffer from the same problem. The low ViewModel field of view can sometimes cause headaches. It’s even worse on ultrawide monitors or multi-monitor setup.

This mod changes the ViewModel FOV from 0.05-0.20 depending on the weapon.

NOTE: USE ONLY FOR SINGLEPLAYER. MAY GET YOU BANNED IF YOU ENTER BATTLE MODE WITH MODS LOADED.

Steps

I. Download EternalModInjector.zip from discord.com – https://discord.com/channels/570112501853978624/693113846688383029/761558078604705812

IV. Drag and drop the zip file in the “Mods” folder in your DOOM Eternal install directory.

V. Run EternalModInjector.bat

When you run it for the first time, it will show important information about what the batch file does and what to do if something goes wrong.

VI. From now on, launch DOOM Eternal as normal (e.g., through Steam or the Bethesda Launcher), and it should run with the mods that you last loaded.
