“Eye See You”
This is a guide for the LOK-1. It’ll go through the stats, modifications, overclocks, and my own personal preference.
If you have any suggestions as to what to add to further improve the guide please leave a comment below. Any changes that come through to the LOK-1 overclocks, base stats, etc. I will try to keep this guide up to date on such things.

Personal Preference/Personal Builds
1.Big Baddie Blaster – Executioner
About this build: I absolutely love this build because of how aggressive I play with Engineer. The downsides are fairly obvious as you will burn through ammo since you’re going full damage, but you can somewhat alleviate that. This is for shredding bosses, Praets, Oppressors, anything with a nice fat weakpoint for your bullets to land. Their health will disappear, so as long as you can curve your bullets into certain weak points. Utilize the M1 Tap/Normal fire for bugs that get close, and use whatever secondary for big swarms. Save that primary ammo for the big ones.
TL;DR: Hurr hurr big glowy weakpoint go pop and gun go brrrrr.
2.Futuristic Texan – Neuro-Lasso
About this build: Have you ever wanted to wrangle your own bugs like grandpa back home? Well now you can, to be clear this a meme build with surprising uses here and there. This build excels in team play and can stop Bulk Dets, Praets, or any particularly squishy bugs to a near halt. You’ll lock on, make sure at least 3 locks are on the big bads, and then fire. Once electricity is applied you’ll lock on again to slow them down. Allowing you to slow down big bads, and smaller trashies to line up Fatboy shells, Clean Sweep shells, or Karl forbid the space toaster known as the BC.
TL;DR: Dwarf Dead Redemption pretty much.
3.The (Good) Volatile Guts – Explosive Chemical Rounds
About this build: Surprisingly I went in expecting to fully hate this overclock. But I was wrong because even on Haz 5, the 3 lock explosion is useful. Somewhat turns the LOK-1 into a small Auto Cannon. You can for sure make this build more useful, but I find the electricity paired with it lets you have more chances at the AoE damaging other enemies.
TL;DR: Bug go boom, lotsa fun.
Final Notes
Really really love this gun to be honest. Still gotta test it out somewhat, and of course make changes as they come for the guide. Hope everyone enjoys U35!
Additional things to be aware of
- The LOK-1 has a normal fire, simply tap M1 and you’ll fire in semi-auto, however don’t rapid fire or your shots will become quickly inaccurate. Super useful for finishing off any weak bugs that survive the barrage of bullets from the LOK-1 initially.
- As to why Armor Break Module has no stats shown like Erraser, the name is self explanatory and it changes no stats. The name does what it says, and I find it oddly fun to use for shredding Praets and Guards.
- The Balanced OC “Seeker” is fun but really only has use against trashy bugs. So things like Grunts, Guards, Slashers, just in general weaker stuff. You’ll have to rely on your secondary to mop up the bigger bugs. I think the slower RoF and the fact its only real gimmick is it ignores armor-and-terrain is what’s really holding it back from being a really solid Overclock. Perhaps some kind of bonus like increased damage from long distances could be interesting to add to it?
- Neuro-Lasso is fun, and has its uses but through and through it seems to be an overclock focused on fun rather than practicality, which isn’t a bad thing by any means. I enjoyed using it to be honest as it made grouping up swarms of bugs a bit easier without using your LUREs or Pheromones from a Scout for Fatboy shells.
Also thanks Ser Pounce and Stella. Ser Pounce provided the numbers for the LOK-1’s prices and modifications, while Stella provided the memes.
TL;DR: The gun actually requires thinking to use, surprisingly. It’s also fun as hell.
