Hey there, welcome to this post, In this post, we will provide you with information regarding the Dead Rising 2 – Steam configuration and Dualshock 4 Fix, and we hope you will find this page helpful.
For Dualshock controllers, I was unable to locate an online solution. Therefore, here is a fix. I sincerely wish it will help you with this problem!
We’re going to use X360CE to disable steam’s controller overflow in order to keep steam from bursting our mask.
It’s not accurate what some have said that the big picture update makes it impossible.
Let’s get going!
First of all, log into Big picture mode, and follow these steps:
Right click on Dead Rising 2 from your library. Then , go to properties.
Go to the Controller tab, and then disable steam input.
Now, exit Big picture mode. You can find the settings in the top left corner of your screen.
Once again, click on the Controller tab and go into general settings for the controller.
Check xbox configuration support, and remove the playstation configuration support. I’m not sure if other settings would mess it up however I checked all of them to be sure.
We’re done with Steam! now let’s move onto our emulator.
This step may be confusing to some if you haven’t messed with an emulator for controllers before. So I’ll provide a YouTube guide by Eddy04tv , if anyone requires it.
Before we begin this process it is crucial to turn off the steam completely and disconnect your controller from your PC. The emulator won’t recognize inputs and won’t work in the event that it does.
While you’re doing this, you can open the guide using a browser.
Download x360ce today!
Here is the link to [x360ce.comHere – [x360ce.com
Click on “download all games” to save the file to your Dead Rising 2 folder.
Now connect your controller to the emulator.
Click Add (not add game) and then select your controller.
Click on “Remap All” to map the controller in the way you’d like. (If it isn’t recognizing your inputs, ensure you have steam turned off and reconnect your controller again)
It should look something like this after you’ve finished mapping:
Before we leave here, click on “Issues” tab and install anything you see there. If there’s no issue you can try launching dead rising 2 and leaving. It should show something.
If you’ve completed these steps, It’s time to reveal the game’s big moment. Reduce xbox360ce in order to launch Dead Rising 2.
If your controller does not start working do not be concerned. Go to PC settings in the main menu and activate gamepad that was grayed out.
I have lost track of how many times I restarted the emulator as well as Dead Rising 2 before I could get this to work. If you’re having issues at any stage, make sure you’ve completed your steam configuration correctly. Then , restart everything.
Disconnect controller, switch off steam, shut off emulator then turn emulator back on, reconnect controller, configure it and launch steam.
This should be fixed.
I hope I can be helpful!
