How do Grades Work?
Grades can be broken down into 5 Qualities.
Each Quality is divided into 4 Levels.
Grades move 'backwards in their numbering. Each Quality ranges from Level IV to Level I. This creates a total of 20 Grades.
- Ash IV – I
- Bronze IV – I
- Silver IV – I
- I – Gold IV
- Iridescent IV – I
Grades are always reset at Ash IV on Grade Reset. This happens every 13th of every month.
Grades can be changed using a system called Pipping…
What is pipping?
Each Grade has a specific number of Pips that one must have in order to improve his Grade.
Depending on how one performs in a Trial, one may gain +1 or +2 Pip, keep their current number of Pip or lose -1 pip.
Filling all Pip Slots (which are displayed under a Grade's icon) will raise it up to the next Level.
Although it is possible to lose all the Pips in a Grade by de-pipping multiple times, it will not lower the Grade to its previous one, just as Ranks did.
Once a Grade has been earned, it can't be lost until the next Grade Reset.
Table of Pips required for ranking up per Grade
Rank | Pips are required |
---|---|
Ash IV – Ash III | 3 pips |
Ash II-I, Bronze IV – I | 4 pips |
Silver IV-II, Iridescent IV -II | 5 pips |
Iridescent I | 3 pips |
