How to be the most lazy (and toxic) killer known to man

Introduction to Basementface

Basementface is just my nickname for a certain stupid strategy for Cannibal, so you’ll need Cannibal to make use of Basementface. No way around it. He’s by far the best killer to face camp in basement with. The idea is very simple: chase down a survivor, down them, bring them to basement, sit back and enjoy some stew, chainsaw in hand.

Perks

Perks you should consider:

Agitation and/or Iron Grasp – Get them to the basement more quickly after downing. Running both of these means you can get to the basement from very far away

Insidious – Robs any potential heroes of using Borrowed Time (BT)

Corrupt Intervention – Draws survivors towards you, starting the Basementface phase more quickly.

Monstrous Shrine – They die faster 🙂

Blood Warden – If executed correctly and with very good timing, you can turn standard Basementface into an easy endgame collapse 4K.

Deerstalker – Slugged survivors with a potential Decisive Strike (DS) can be more or less accounted for.

No One Escapes Death (NOED) – if you really just want to show that you’re a prick, run this perk.

Tactics and Dealing with Big Brain Survivors

Well the nice thing about Basementface is that there’s little to do in terms of big braining for survivors. If you run insidious, which I do recommend for this, make sure to stand still so you don’t have a terror radius until it’s too late (remember this will counter Borrowed Time which they will definitely want to use). Look at the survivor. Don’t fall for bait. Remember that they can’t do much to bodyblock the chainsaw. You can use a charge to threaten, but never more than one at a time, always keep 2 charges at least for actual use.

Only immediately after the unhook should you charge, and then sprint up the stairs mowing anyone in your path. If they stay down, still sprint up the stairs and wait at the top until your charges refill. Only then go down. Bait a Head On (locker stun perk), then open the left of the two front lockers (it is more reliable than opening the right locker first).

The only way they can really get away, and this will only maybe work if they’re very, very sharp, is if they use dead hard or sprint burst very well. Keep in mind a long chainsaw sprint can catch up to a sprint burst.

Only leave the basement shortly if there’s a downed survivor you know you can pick up. If there is no obsession, ignore DS. If there is obsession, assume everyone has it; don’t instantly pick up. Leave them and pick them up later if possible (guess a minute and 10 seconds to be safe). Deerstalker might be handy for this.

If the person (or all the people) hooked dies or disconnects, leave the basement and repeat.

This should go without saying but don’t screw up. If you can’t even camp a basement with Cannibal, then you have absolutely no defense when all 4 escaped survivors call you hot garbage in the post game chat.

Conclusion

You will lose rank most likely.

That is not the point of this build. In fact, I wouldn’t really recommend it at all.

But if you want to do something different, maybe you’ve had a long day and just want to watch someone suffer, then here it is. Have fun!
