Dark And Darker feature first-person gameplay (FPS). The game is played player versus player (PvP) or player versus their environment (PvE). The game features a series of dungeon runs you must complete before dying.

As you ascend through the Dark And Darker stages, the level of difficulty posed by the monsters (and your likelihood of encountering players equipped with better equipment), increases. It might be more difficult to extract on lower floors. This walkthrough will demonstrate how to extract in Dark and Darker’s various levels.

How to extract through the Dark and Darker?

The “Extracting gameplay mode’s goal is to survive to the end of each level while collecting as many loot items as possible before leaving the area. Dark And Darker extract points are completely randomly generated, unlike other games in the genre. They are distinguished from other games in this genre by the Blue Headstone that rises out of the ground in front. A visual cue will tell you when an extraction site has spawned.

Press the F key on the keyboard to have a conversation. It will open a blue portal for you to walk through to exit this level.

TIPS: Red Headstones won’t let you extract; instead, they teleport you to lower floors with better loot and more enemies. Red portals are common in High Roller lobbies which require players who pay to enter.

 

Notes about Extract Portals

Once you activate an extract portal, it will remain active indefinitely, allowing you to use it again at any time.

You can only allow one player to enter a Headstone portal once before it is deactivated. Other players in the instance might take control. You could also gain control of portals owned by other players.

You should be cautious when activating either a blue or red portal. They are often very close together.

A notification will appear in the upper right corner of the screen when a new escape channel appears. The notification will also be sent to you when a new “down” portal is created.

 

The floor number is used to determine difficulty.

The more difficult the Dark And Darker Dungeon becomes, the similarity to Choose Your Adventure or Dungeons and Dragons. There have been several levels of difficulty in each of the available playtests. The most difficult is currently at level 3.

Dark And Darker can only be played with one person.

The White Ring is dangerous. You can get hurt while you are inside it. It is important to be careful if you find the Portal on the ring’s edge.
