Hi, welcome to this post, In this post, we will provide you with information regarding the Dance of Cards – Character Differences and Custom Mode, and we hope you will find this page helpful.
This guide will explain the major and small differences that characters can have as they transition from Quickplay mode into Custom Game.
Intro
The custom game lets you change a lot in the game. Quickplay will automatically put everyone at their highest level, with everything maxed and the item selected for them. Some characters get a lot of benefits from this while others receive tiny if anything. Overall, I find this mode to be more unbalanced than Quickplay. It has some unique quirks, and it may be helpful to know the more abusable stuff if it is something you want to use in a match.
No worthwhile changes
Unfortunately, not everyone is a winner. There is 1 character that gets nothing. Not a funny gimmick.
Lev’s superior design is exposed here. His stats and items are objectively more powerful the higher you go. There’s really no point in changing anything about him from Quickplay, except for your accessory choice, unless it’s something that you’re doing to handicap yourself intentionally. Just be glad you chose the character who has the best stache.
Gimmicks
You can be funny – and even successful – probably, maybe.
What? Archie/Archibald? All his Talents, and his items are strictly upgraded. Why isn’t Lev with him? It’s probably because of something silly. But it could be useful. You can skip Composure boosts to make it easier to enter Panic, depending on how often Bad Boy is desired. You could also boost Composure further to prevent Bad Boy but that is boring so you might as well go for the more fun option.
Dita’s choice is to choose Silver Ring over Golden Ring. (TP: 12 and TP Recovery 1 – ……. The benefits of a 2 TP recovery are great and worth it. It is not worth it to lose 3 max TP for a 2 TP recovery. Golden Ring is a better option.
Small changes
Changes that are not just gimmicks but also worthwhile, but they’re not too major.
Money Trap is also worth downgrading, 9 TP is expensive and 100 chips are often enough for a trap. Money Trap also makes sense to downgrade. 9 TP can be expensive and 100 chip traps are usually enough.
Just One Glass can be downgraded to Level 2, or even Level 1, if you want to use Happy Drunk or Sad Drunk a lot more, but Total Drunk a little less. Level 1 tends to lean more towards Happy Drunk for those who want to drain more TP. However, Level 2 allows more Sad Drunk. I like Level 2 because you have more control and can sometimes aim for Total Drunk. But all levels are great options, in my opinion. You can also fine tune your Composure in order to control when you enter Panic and activate Bottoms Up. However, I would be cautious because going into Panic at Rehab is very annoying.
Mask of Tragedy makes a great item. 16 TP is a lot, and Classical Training gives you additional TP. You don’t really miss 2 TP recovery. You can also choose Level 2 Makeup, if you feel confident that your team is capable of dealing with characters who use them. You will lose the ability to invalidate many things, but you will have more control over the debuffs you apply to your team. If you are going alone, you may be tempted by Level 1 makeup. However, I would not be so eager to play Custom Game alone with people such as Douglas.
You can make the same decision as Dita, but your TP-costing talents aren’t as palatable, even with Franz. It’s cheaper to use Level 1 of Provoke, and the extra turns won’t matter as much. Level 2 is also an option. Threat could be downgraded, but it would only result in slightly more spam. The big thing with Joseph is that he can max out his Composure. When combined with Strong will, this means he doesn’t need to worry about Panic.
Big changes
The process is in progress
