In this guide, i want to show you how to create/edit (non) Steam game(s) header/capsule/logo/hero. Because personally, when i add a (non) Steam game i hate the default header/capsule/logo/hero.

Finding the Steam game id

It is very easy to find out the game id of Steam games. There are two methods.

1 = Look at the app’s properties by using the shortcut. The number in front of appid is appid.

Now, the non-steam games

It is best to change the logo after adding them to the Steam folder and then check the name. =

First = down to the left

Next =

After that = (if you didn’t see your game on the list browse it on your PC).

Now, locate it in the lirary. Click it =

After that, click on the right button and select a logo (at this moment it doesn’t really matter) =

now go to this location at windows = ~Steam\userdata\*********\config\grid you will see the picture that you add =

That’s It =

The filename is appid

The real watchdogs appid is 4447040, not 3580912219.

What is the full name of each section?

1 = logo

2 = Hero

3 = Client icon/logo

4 = artwork/capsule

5 = header/preview

Let’s customize

now you need a logo/capsule/header/hero/client icon(if you want) they can me animated too but the file type must be png or jpg animated png/jpg

So now we need the App ID we just got =

open the grid folder =~Steam\userdata\******\config\grid nad paste all of your images now you have to change the name to the appid and =

For hero, add = _hero before the name

Add =p to the end of the name for capsule

Add = _logo as the logo to the name

Add = _icon as the icon for the client.

This is what it should look like at the end =

Results

Steam won’t upload videos less than 2MB and not in gif format.
