How to Make a Good Deal

To achieve such a long name, there are mainly two 2 methodss (that do not require mods). However, they both require save editing. Therefore, I recommend that you perform a back-up on your save file prior to attempting this.

Your save file on the steam version is located at:
C:\Users\Yournamehere\AppData\LocalLow\Massive Monster\Cult Of The Lamb\saves

 

Method 1

You will need to go to and save your decrypt file. Pentalex COTL Saving Decyptor ([github.io]

Once there, you should see this.

Download the decrypted file by uploading your saved file.

Open the file in your text editor of choice. I usually use Notepad++. Standard notepad will also work.

What you’ll see is:

Press Crtl+F and then “CultName“.

And change your previous name to a longer, cooler one. (Remeber to Keep it within the quotes ).

Then save the modification, and replace the old Long Nameless Save with the new one. (The game will load fine, but encrypt the data again).

Voila!!! You are now officially a part of the Cool Long Cult Name Club.

Method 2

The second method, which is more straightforward than the first one, does not require you to decrypt any save data.

All you will see at first is a lot of nothing.

Fear not. You need only to be a little bit brave. Click on the folder icon Click on the top of the page and insert your saved file.

After that, meaningless mumbo jumbo should be appearing more and more.

Find the “CultName“, again, and edit it.

Download the edited saved and place it where it belongs.
