Big Number has returned!

ALL PRAISE BIG NUMBER

If you too wish to join the cult family of Big Number, let me show you how.

The Tools of the Trade

I’ve noticed that some court artifacts happen to have some interesting stats.

Natural Dread and Prestige per Dread

The funny thing is, these stats synergize very well. If an artifact gives 0.05 prestige per dread and you have 100 dread, then you would get 5.00 prestige. And just remember, that’s ONE artifact.

The three artifacts bellow are pedestal artifacts. I created these artifacts by taking some inventory artifacts and converting them. This conversion process sometimes completely changes the nature of the artifacts. In this case, that means becoming way more powerful.

As far as I’ve seen, swords, daggers, and mail are the three types of artifacts who get these bonuses but others could too.

It seems that this insane prestige bonus is limited to the number of pedestal artifacts you can have (which is 4). However, I’ve also noticed that daggers (in their inventory form) can sometimes give these bonuses without being turned into pedestal artifacts, raising the limet to 5.

But having these artifacts is only half the fun…

Modifiers

Lets say you have +20 prestige.

If you all of a sudden, got a 100% modifiers for prestige, you would now have +40 prestige.

Well, well, well.

Say hello to Diplomacy! Already a banger of a lifestyle, this only makes it better.

Looks like that hypothetical 100% modifier isn’t so hypothetical after all.

How to Boost your DREAD

So, in order for this to work, you need high prestige.

Good news is, you already have a bunch of natural prestige from your artifacts.

If you managed to get five artifacts with +12 dread, you would have +60 natural dread.

Not Bad, but we can do better.

If you pick up the first guile dynasty legacy, you get +10 dread.

If you go with the intrigue lifestyle, you can get +30 from the Intimidation Focus.

If you breed the albino trait into your dynasty, you get +15 dread.

You can get various dread buffs from these traits:

Arbitrary (15), Wrathful (20), and Sadistic (35)

Non-Natural Dread

All you can increase your natural dread in many ways, often times it doesn’t reach 100.

The good news is that you can boost your dread through certain actions. This dread will decay back to your natural, but if you do add dread frequently enough, it should stay pretty high. In addition, your artifacts will also increase the amount of dread you get from any source.

One well known method is to execute prisoners. I prefer to save them to boost my dread after succession so my vassals don’t rebel, but it works.

My preferred method to boost dread is with this perk:

Now this special perk is found on the Avaricious (stewardship) tree. Only requiring 1 other perk to be unlocked before it, it allows you to extort your vassals every 5 years. Not only does this net you an insane amount of money (scales based on how many vassals I think), but it gives you sweet dread.

More Ways to Boost your Prestige

Now, there are a lot of ways to get prestige. Let me save your time and mine by listing the big ones:

* The ones in bold give you % prestige

– Other court artifacts. None of them will give the massive gains like the dread based ones, but they can make some difference.

– Titles. You get significant prestige boosts for each kingdom and empire titles

Higher Diplomacy. You get more prestige the higher your diplomacy.

Inspiring Rule perk. Diplomacy perk that gives prestige based on Powerful Vassals on the council

Praetorian Guard. Diplomacy perk that gives prestige per knight.

– Foreign Affairs councilor task. Prestige based on chancellor skill.

That’s It!

Not only can you get absurd prestige, but only increase your dread and get all the benefits from that.

The Royal Court expansion is very new and I don’t know everything. If I missed something feel free to tell me and I’ll fix it.

Otherwise, thanks for reading my guide and feel free to post how high you managed to get your prestige to. I know that +70 is far from the limet.
