If you’re lucky, you won’t need much land grabbing.

Time for feeding!

For the sake of piety, you will need court Chaplin building zeal. Keep an eye out for opportunities to recruit one if you don’t already have one. You must take the pious option at random events until you have at least 200 piety.

Before the time begins, raise all your troops, make them raiders, and then gather them together to raid your neighbors. (The economy tab will help you quickly see if there are lucrative targets within your borders.)

Gather 500 gold. When possible, create duchies as soon as you can.

To create the duchies, you will likely need to take up a small provenience from your chosen kingdom borders. If so, you will need to declare war.

Your regent must like you to declare wars. Bribes or titles can do this.

Once you have your duchies, verify the gold and piety required for the kingdom. (is usually around 200 piety, and) about 400 gold.

You can return to attacking your neighbors. If your army has shrunk because you were over demesne, you can create some counts to improve opinion and cement your authority.

Create the kingdom once you have the gold, piety, and requisite piety.
