What is communication penalty?

First of all, we need to know what is “Voice mute” or communication penalty, i highly recommend you to read official article from Valve (CS:GO – Communication Penalties). While reading the article, you will notice that it says that you need to earn XP, but doesn’t say how much.

Time To Grind!!!

Here’s the answer:

• If this is your first communication penalty then you need to earn over 20,000 XP or 5 levels (each level in CS:GO is 5,000 xp).

• Second communication penalty – 35,000 XP or 8 levels.

• As far as I know, the third communication penalty is permanent and you cannot remove it.

If you have some of “Bonus Rank XP” items from Shattered Web or Broken Fang operations, they won’t be counted. You need to earn xp by playing on official Valve servers.
