Relic has not yet added this option to the game, but there is a way for you to get a smoother, better camera experience. It is far superior to the sluggish camera movement we have currently.

This is how you can try it –

-Goto Documents/mygames/Company of Heroes/users/somenumbers

-You should see a file configuration_user.lua

– Always back up the original, and label it _OLD or another in case it is needed (Thanks MistarGrimm).

-Right click on the file, and choose Edit With Notepad++

-Find where it says “setting = “enablepanaccelerationandsmoothing” and underneath that change the false to true

-After you save you have to right click the configuration_user.lua file and go to properties. Click Apply and tick the box that reads Read-only. This will ensure the file does NOT get changed to default once the game starts.

-All done. Enjoy a smoother experience with your camera. It is a mystery to me why Relic didn’t put this in, but I’m sure they will. This works well with smoothening the middle mouse click movement.

Be aware that you can change the setting back from the original by ticking the Read-only Box and applying before editing.
