Welcome to Cattails – Farming Food Tips and Tricks.
If you are having trouble understanding how to gather food? This guide might help you how to farm easily in the game.
How do you catch/gather food?
Catching Prey
When I started playing, I was a little confused and struggled to catch food. Even with the tutorial.
I searched for guides that would teach me how to catch them, but couldn’t find any. This led me to create this guilde. I hope this helps anyone who has struggled like mine!

– To begin, you will need to start moving, also known as crouching, when you come across an animal.
Once you’ve started that, once you get in line with the prey, the circle will fill with a bright blue colour.
Once it reaches a full circle, it will briefly turn purple and then blue again. That’s when it hits space!
Although you may not be able to catch your prey immediately, it shouldn’t take too long to master the technique.

I wish you all the best! If the written version doesn’t make sense, a video with visuals may make more sense.

Gathering
For gathering food, click on it to add it to your inventory.
If your inventory is not full, items from bushes will be added to it. If it is, it will let you know and not take the bush.
Notification
–> If you leave anything on the ground, it will be taken as prey or supplies from your inventory. It will remain there until you return.
