This guide is only useful later in the game once the community boards have been unlocked. This is just the method that i use. It is equally viable to run around checking them all.

What is a “special encounter”?

I am not sure what is classified as a special. I can only mention the ones this method makes it easier to find, and update as time goes by. So far, these are the encounters that this method makes easier to find:

-Koneko

How to apply the method I use

If you unlock the community board, you will be able to find quests to clean out rogue encounters in order to make the island more secure. Some rogue events will be highlighted while others won’t. These other encounters include special events like Koneko which appear as rogue events, but aren’t specifically that.

Note:

This game is brand new, it was released only yesterday. The guide will continue to be updated with new information as it becomes available. If you can think of any other special encounters not listed, please post them in the comments. I will credit them in the guide.
