Welcome to this post We are going to tell you everything there is to know about Card Quest – Second Level: Dwarven Fortress in this guide.
The guide includes comprehensive information on how to build your character to complete the unlock, as well as how to deal with specific monsters you will face.
Second Level: Dwarven Fortress
The next level you should choose is the Dwarven Fortress, as it is the easiest and the purchases afterwards are very beneficial. Below I’ve listed every possible encounter in alphabetical order with explanations of how they work. Following this, I’ve provided the set of purchases that appear following the Dwarven Fortress. Keep your defense strong and pay attention to your opponent’s attack power, and also your armor. In many cases you can simply get PASS ALL and not suffer any damage, thereby saving precious STAMINA for your next turn. These monsters are similar to those in the Dwarven City but with a small difference in their tactics.
Barricade
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Bomb
The Bomb is not visible on its own but is dropped by the Dwarven Foreman if you encounter him (see an additional entry below). You must defend yourself against the single explosion. However, you are able to kill them if needed.
Chest
It will be present in at least one Round of the Dwarven Fortress. Inside you’ll find one Bomb that attacks with STUN and damages two targets close to the primary target. A Dwarven Guard holds the key to unlock it (see separate article). If you take the chest down before you receive the key,, you will not get the Healing Potion So be aware.
Dwarven Alchemist
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Dwarven Cannon
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Dwarven Guard
Same as those encountered in the Dwarven City.
Dwarven Heavy Guard
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Dwarven Elite Shooter
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Dwarven Foreman
The Dwarven Foreman, an uncommon appearance is what you’ll encounter in Round 3. He’s not too difficult, but he has more health than the typical Dwarven Fortress monster. When he’s DISTANT, he throws bombs, but they’re easy to defend against. He’ll also drop Bombs (see separate entry above) every turn. They are not a threat so take care to kill him like you would kill any other monster. If he dies, he’ll present you with the free Bomb similar to the one that you purchase following the Dwarven Fortress (see purchases at the end).
Dwarven King
This is the boss of the Dwarven Fortress. Though more difficult than the boss from the previous Level it is unlikely that you will have any trouble with his abilities. He’s got a lot of ARMOR and HEALTH and that’s it. His attacks aren’t something to be concerned about. He can be attacked with the crossbow at distance and gives 1 ARMOR to the other monsters in the Battle. He can also summon 2 Dwarven Guards (see separate entries above) and 2 Dwarven Shooters(see separate entry below). At 20 HEALTH the Healing Potion will be ingested and he’ll be capable of regenerating a significant amount of HEALTH. From there, it’s easy. When you’re done with him, you can move on to the purchase (shown at the end of this section).
Dwarven Pyromancer
Same as those encountered in the Dwarven City.
Dwarven Shooter
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Dwarven Spiked Guard
Similar to the ones found in the Dwarven City.
Imprisoned Rune Dwarf
The Imprisoned Rune Dwarf makes a rare appearance at the Dwarven Fortress. He is identical to the one you see in the Dwarven City.
Stone Golem
Similar to those found in Dwarven City.
Purchases made after the Dwarven Fortress
These are the items available to purchase following the Dwarven Fortress. Based on the amount of GOLD you’ve accumulated, which will not be enough for all 3 If you began at Level 4 as this guide suggests. While the Bomb is useful, particularly if it was obtained from an item found in the Dwarven Fortress however, you’ll likely find that the Healing Potions are better value. The next challenge the Dragon’s Lair.
