Bloons TD 6CHIMPS and Hard Difficulty Map Strategy with Low Bar of Entry
Why Gwendolin and Sun Avatars
This strategy is intended to be a beginner-friendly setup that can handle most of the difficult difficulties while still using a fair amount of the simpler maps. It requires the following:
- Gwendolin – Unlocked at player level 14.
- Ninja 3-0-1 (2140 Ninja XP)
- Druid 1-3-0 (2150 Druid XP)
- Alchemist 3-3-1 (4895 Alchemist XP)
- Glue 0-1-3 (2620 Glue)
- Super Monkey 3-2-0 (8300 Super XP)
- Wizard 1-0-3 (2310 Wizard XP)
- Sniper 1-2-0 (720 Sniper XP)
- Village 2-2-3 (7250 Village XP; Minimum player level 22 –
- Farm 2-0-3 (3950 Farm XP; Minimum player level 24 –
You can achieve all of this by playing one game up to round 85 and reaching player level 24, as well as a few Easy and Medium game modes. This strategy is highly accessible due to its low XP requirement.
This strategy does not use any abilities. It assumes that towers are placed in between rounds so that players can take their own time setting up the monkeys. This strategy can be applied to the following map modes: Standard) Standard); Medium (Standarde17Y; Reverse, Hard, (Standarde17Y; Magic Monkeys Only, DoubleHP Moabs, Alternate bloon rounds, Impoppable, CHIMPS. A Half-Cash strategy for beginner maps for early gamers will be available elsewhere. It has higher player requirements (Player Level 28 for Obyn and X-2-X Wizard, X-4 Druid, and ability usage).
This strategy also leaves you with $80000 to 90000 extra, which is plenty of money to buy XP for other towers. Alternatively, you can let the game run for 5 minutes without any intervention if you have purchased all the towers you need by round 60 (standard, Double Moab HP), or round 80 (impoppable, CHIMPS).
Let's now discuss the purpose of each tower within the strategy.
- Gwendolin – A free hero that we use to deal moderate damage in rounds 14-37, and provide a substantial damage buff for rounds 90+
- Ninja (1-0-0
- Nina (3-0-1- – Alternate Bloon Rounds because of the high amount camo in the previous game
- Druid (13-0 – ) Carry rounds 20-37, deals decent damage up to round 80 and pops the purple off bloons for rounds 25, 32, 45. 48. 62. 78.
- Alchemist (32-0 – – Used for buffing the damage dealers, which are the Super Monkey Sun Avatars or Gwendolin. To ensure maximum uptime and lowest cost, we assign 2 buffing alchemists for each damage dealer.
- Alchemist (0-3-1– – Used for making rounds above 80 more manageable. Exploding MOAB-class Bloons can cause 10% to 20% of total damage per run. This is quite impressive considering that the alchemist costs only 5% of the towers we place.
- Glue (0-1-3) – This is used to slow down the bloons during rounds 80+. Otherwise they may not stay on the screen long enough to be blown up in some of the maps.
- Super Monkey (32-0 – ) – The backbone for our late-game damage. They produce multiple projectiles at a rapid rate, so they are well bolstered by Gwendolin and the alchemists.
- Wizard (1-0-3- – For Magic Monkeys Only Mode. It is used for camo detection.
- Sniper (12-0) – – To Alternate Bloon Rounds because of the high amount camo and early game leads bloons
- Village (2-XX-X)) – A staple for increased attack speed. Combining this village's boost with an Alchemist, we can achieve almost full uptime for Gwendolin’s damage buff in late-game.
- Village (X-2-X) – Camo detection for rounds 33+
- Village (X-2 – – This village is used to dramatically reduce the cost of the Sun Avatar. We only use towers with tier-3 or lower upgrades. Each upgrade will receive the Village Monkey Commerce cost reduction. To maximize cost savings, we aim to get 3 villages with Monkey Commerce in most runs.
- Village (X-X-3 – – To bridge the cost gap and make it play like all other modes.
- Farm (2-0-3– – To bridge the cost gap and make it play like all other modes.
What strategy is used with Gwendolins and Sun Avatars
This is the round where we add or improve the monkeys in this strategy. To help you place the monkeys, please refer to the following sections.
The notation 1-0-0 is used to indicate how far the monkey can be upgraded along the top, middle, and bottom upgrade paths. A 1-3-0 Druid, for example, is a druid monkey with the top path Hard Thorns Upgrade and the middle path upgrades of Thorn Swarm and Heart of Oak.
If the monkey has parenthesis following it, it means that it should be focused on a specific targetting such as targeting "Strong" targets, or toggling on "Camo targetting."
There is a notable difference in what is placed in each difficulty mode:
- Shimmer Wizards are used instead of Villages to detect camo in Magic Monkeys Only mode
- To offset the higher price of Impoppable, we add farms and a Monkey Town Upgrade
- Alternate Bloon Rounds features a stronger Ninja with the addition of a Sniper in order to counter early camo or lead bloons
