Beast Power and Merging
Some monke’s are confused about what the purple numbers and merging mean, so I’ll be adding that to the guide.
Purple numbers are visible on your upgrade of your monkey’s monster (any path) and on the monke. That’s what’s known as ‘Beast Power’ in-game
Beast power can be obtained by upgrading your monkey’s monsters and merging. It increases your beast’s DPS. If you choose the top path (as shown above), beast power can also transform aquatic beasts into.. something similar mid-path buccaneer’s Harpoon, except that it doesn’t have any cooldown and is limited to what the beast is able pull down. Oh, and it has a limited range.
You will need first to buy a second beast handler. Then, choose the same beast path as your other beast handler. After that, you’ll see a purple merge option next to your beast upgraded.
Click on the button to merge and click on your chosen beast handler.
In case you are wondering, merging one beast handler with another won’t remove the second beast handler. Instead of spending your coins to upgrade another beast handler, you can use your coins to upgrade it. 4 beast handlers should be sufficient to at least get to T5 animals. For merging, the beast handlers don’t need to be within close proximity of each other. You can move them to the other side of a map if necessary.
Merging Limits & Max Power Requirements
I have described how to merge in the merge area. You may also have noticed that the upgrades section shows you two purple numbers. For example, 4/6
The upgrade’s left-hand side displays how much beast power it has. On the right, it shows the limit of its upgrade. Your beast’s power increases with every upgrade. Each tier of a beast gives you the exact same amount power and limits. This list doesn’t require you to know it, but it is helpful for anyone who’s curious.
T1 (Tier 1-upgrade) gives you 1/1. It requires your one beast handler.
T2 gives you three/6 and requires two (total) T2 Beast handlers (of the same path) to max out
T3 gives 8/24 and requires 3 T3 Beast handlers to max it out
T4 provides 16/64 and requires 4T4
Technically, T5 should have given 36/132 to one T5 beast handler. However, if you have other maxed-out beast handlers controlling it, the total number is 84/132. It will require 1 T5 as well as 6 T4 total to max it all out.
