With the ability to now dump high scores into the debug file, finding the highest scoring songs is significantly easier. Unfortunately the output isn’t very useful with the way it has been dumped. The following guide will help you get this data into a more useful form using a Google spreadsheet I have prepared.

Dump and retrieve your high score

From the settings menu in the game press the “d” key. The game may pause for a second as it dumps your high score data into the debug file.

Your debug.txt file can be found in your documents folder, the path is typically:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\ColdBeamGames\BeatHazard2\

Open debug.txt in your favourite text editor and copy all of the high score data as pictured below:

Stop your selection at the last high score entry:

Set up the Google Sheet

Open the BH2 High Score Viewer – [google.com]  Google spreadsheet.

Create your own copy by clicking: File > Make a copy

In your copy, open the “Raw” sheet and clear any data in column A.

Select the first row in column A and paste your high score data into it. Each high score record should have its own row if done this way.

At this point you are done! Your scores should now appear on the “Analysis” and “Score Data” sheets.

The “Score Data” sheet contains all of the parsed data from your high scores and can be sorted or searched as needed.

The “Analysis” sheet contains the top 25 songs based on score per second as well as a pie chart showing the number of songs completed per difficulty.
