This is a continuation of the camera mod, which allows you to move your camera in more refined manner.

Installation

1. Download the correct version. If you are running the game with DX11, you need this version. You will need this version if you are running the game in Vulkan. If you skip the launcher, the game runs in DX11. You can check this in task manager while the game is running. If you ignore all of this, you will get an error message that says you are using the wrong version.

Instructions

A few options are grayed out because I am still working on them. Some of them are still tied to hotkeys and crashes or errors on the number pad. oops.

There are still many things that work. The basic buttons include read, reset/defaults, and write. Read returns the current value for the game. Write changes the value of the editable boxes. Reset and defaults resets the game to its original state. The hotkeys can be edited by clicking the button next the increase or decrease. There is a setting at the bottom to save and load hotkeys. There is a setting for saving and loading values. You can save your setting. If you set it to 24 feet, the next time you click load, the setting will be applied automatically.

My antivirus flags the following.

This is probably the case for many people, as mine does. I made it with cheat engine, which is something that antivirus programs tend to dislike. This is a program that is modifying another running program, which is a common problem. In this case, it’s simply adjusting the camera settings that baldurs gate holds in memory. In memory, baldurs gate 3, somewhere, has a value of 12 for the maximum distance that you can zoom out. This program overwrites that. It does nothing else. I’ve seen this flagged before as “HackTool” and “Unwanted”. It’s okay if you don’t want to download it because you think it is a virus. If you’d still like to see the source code, there’s a GitHub.
