At Home – Beginners Guide – Walkthrough 1 - steamlists.com

This is the ultimate guide on beating At Home a modern horror masterpiece. Using it you can learn the secrets of the game that take hundreds of hours to learn, and you too can see drunken car crash scenes made in a blender.

Walkthrough

At the start of the game you are in a house and the lights cut out. When you hear a phone ring don’t do the natural instinct of looking for the phone. Instead find the hallway with a door that leads outside. You will get clocked.

In the second area you wake up in there are only two places that matter. The main house and a gas station. Press e repeatedly to open up the cabin door. The gas station has non solid windows you can jump through to snag a crowbar. The main house has a room at the end of the upstairs hallway where you find a key on the desk. This key opens the truck outside and starts it.

The main gameplay loop is this. Break out of the cabin if you are in map two. See if the main house is unlocked and if it is grab the truck key. If the door is locked then go to the gas station and get the crowbar. With the crowbar out spam e to break the door down on the main house. Using the upstairs key get into the truck and hold w for a minute until it starts moving and loads you in to a new map.

The third map is a nigh infinite forest. No matter where you go it will make “scary” noises and then clock you unconscious again. At this point you wake back up in the starting house and get fake cutscenes of a car crash. I think the idea of the story is you drove drunk and killed someone so now you have mental guilt or something. Either way the game repeats the loop where you just leave the starting house, get the car key on map 2, and then you end up on the forest map.

Seriously that’s it, there is nothing else to the game. It just repeats the same thing over and over with no end. Yeah…….
