Basically the “Build” is using Glare and utilizing “Damage from Glare is also applied to the on-hit effects of your bullets.” (from Sight Magic) to apply on-hit effects (Lightning, Burn, Freeze, etc.), killing both enemies and bosses primarily with Frostbite “Frozen enemies lose 15% of their max health and bosses lose 1%.” and using Pickup Range so the exp doesnt lag/crash

Summary

Basically the “Build” is using Glare and utilizing “Damage from Glare is also applied to the on-hit effects of your bullets.” (from Sight Magic) to apply on-hit effects (Lightning, Burn, Freeze, etc.), killing both enemies and bosses primarily with Frostbite “Frozen enemies lose 15% of their max health and bosses lose 1%.”

However, its heavily spec’d into Pickup Range so the exp doesnt lag/crash you when you try to move (And easy leveling while stationary) Not sure of the minimum Pickup Range you need to get everything, so I maxed it. If you can figure out where that is, you can spec more into DPS.

This is just how I did it, let me know if you did it a different way and how that went.

Details

Character: Must Play as Shana – for their Specialize ability “Triple the effect of the next Upgrade you take.”.

Weapon: Whatever you want, I used Grenade Launcher.

Highest Priority

To start with, the Highest Priority while leveling is getting the Glare hit-rate as high as possible with minimal Vision Range:

  • Sight Magic – Only take once, but is required for both offence (Frostbite, Lightning, Burn) and defence (Freezing everything).
  • Glare & Saccade – Take as many as possible, the more hits per second, the more effective the build is.

(Don’t take more Sight Magic until your Pickup Range is at Max or you are sure your Pickup Range is good enough, and I recommend doing the same with Intense Glare)

Second Priority

Second Highest Priority (early) is applying Freezing with (Sight Magic):

  • Frost Mage – At least one for 35%, upto 3 for 100%
  • Frostbite – Kills frozen enemies and bosses (Frozen enemies lose 15% of their max health and bosses lose 1%.), doesnt seem to be as effective on certain bosses past 20min, possibly bugged.

Third Priority

Third Highest Priority(early, is vital late game)is Pickup Range, using Shana’s

  • Specialize (Fomr the chests every odd boss drops; 1st ,3rd, 5th, etc.) to reach maximum:
  • Specialize – Use it on any of the Pickup Range Upgrades to gettriple the effect (Magnetism is best, I avoid Watch & Learn unless I’m sure my Pickup Range is much higher than my Vision)
  • Quick Learner – Easy XP, no issues.
  • Ascension(the Halo) – I left until later, don’t need the halo pieces getting in the way (can take it after using all Specialize)

Other Priorities

After that the priority is dependent on what you need, whether thats better defence or a little better offence.

For Both:

  • Pyro Mage + Soothing Warmth – On-hit igites, and 0.5% of them restore HP.

For Defence:

  • Vitality, Giant + Regeneration – More HP + HP Regeneration
  • Holy Shield + Stalwart Shield – Shield, Seems to stack, the more you have the shorter the cooldown.
  • Haste, Blazing Speed, Run & Gun – Movement Speed, useful early on before you can perma-freeze bosses

For Offence:

  • Electro Mage, Electro Bug, Electro Mastery & Divine Wrath – Lightning Strikes, to do a little more damage.
  • Energized + Fire Starter (and Electro Mage) – If you are actively shooting to kill bosses faster
  • Dragon Egg, Aged Dragon & Dragon Bond – Not sure if Worth, but if you do I recommend only take 1 Dragon. (you can take more, but more than 1 can start lagging late game and probably avoid Trained Dragon for the same reason) Aged Dragon scales up quite high late game, helps a little on killing a tiny bit faster.
  • Overload (Synergy)- If you are igniting and hitting them lightning, can increase DPS.
  • Ghost Friend + Magic Lens – Can make the Ghosts Projectiles go through the lenses multiple times for really high damage. Keep lag from the number of projectiles in mind.

Tomes

For the Tomes the priority in “order” is:

  • Book of Elements – Freezes longer, Lightning and Ignites do more damage, Must take if available.
  • Tome of Summon – If you take a Summon to assist with DPS
  • Tome of Rage – If you are actively shooting (for Fire Ball & Lightning)
  • Tome of Speed – If the above are unavailable and you have excess HP but move too slow.

Dont take:

  • Tome of Power or Tome of Elasticity – They just cost HP and other stats and add nothing to the build.

Screenshots & Stuff

Everything else, whatever you feel like, just keep in mind the more projectiles on the screen the riskier it is, so while more Dragons or using Ghost Friends can up your DPS, keep in mind the lag they may cause.
